Bangladesh is a land of cricket lovers. Cricket is not just a game for them, It's an emotion of thousands of people. From 19th century, cricket gain more and more popularity. At present, Bangladesh cricket team isn't a minnow team. By support from all the people & the government, Bangladesh cricket team proved themselves in world cricket & made many histories to made the nations proud.

To give more joy & excitement, Bangladesh cricket Board (BCB) arranged franchise cricket tournament BPL. The Bangladesh Premier league (BPL) is a professional t-20 cricket league like others cricket league in other countries. If you are a true cricket fan of Bangladesh Cricket, then surely you have knowledge about this. This BPL is one of the three professional cricket Leagues in Bangladesh. If I talk about It's popularity of this, i wanna say it's the 16th most attended premier league in the world.

Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) first edition was held in 2012 consisting seven franchises. Dhaka Dynamites was crowned as a champion of first season. I still remember, they made a very strong team & played really well in hole tournament. After this, total seven edition is already played & Dhaka Gladiators is the most time title winner. Although, that's a very competitive tournament. In first seven edition, four teams crowned as a champion & that's thr beauty of this tournament. You can't say who will win the title before the final match of this tournament. In last edition, i mean in 2019-20 special edition ‘ Rajshahi Royals ’ crowned as a champion for the first time.

The 8th edition is already set to play. The government council of Bangladesh Premier league announced the participation of six teams in this 8th edition of the country’s premier T20 tournament which will start from January 21,2022. Participated six teams are :-

Already player drift is completed for this upcoming tournament. Due to PSL & Big-Bash sob big players are missing, but every team tried hard to make a good team. There is a bad news for us, Srilankan players can't join to their respective franchises because they didn’t get NOC from their cricket board. But, we will see some high profiled players in this tournament. Already, All fixtures are ready for this tournament. Hopefully, this edition will be more enjoyable and exciting then previous years.
