Bangladesh team returned to international cricket after a long month. After the series against Ireland at home, they are now in England to play the series against Ireland. The first two ODI matches between Bangladesh and Ireland have already been played. Due to the rain, there was no result in the first match, but the visiting Bangladesh team got a great victory in the second match!

In the first ODI, the Bangladesh team managed to score 246 at the end of the scheduled 50 overs. The Bangladeshi batsmen were not able to bat well against the swing-inswing bowling of the Irish pacers. Mushfiqur Rahim was the only wicketkeeper-batsman to complete his half-century. But chasing 247 runs according to the conditions was not easy at all!

In response, the Irish batsmen weren't able to do well. Lost three valuable wickets for 63 runs and was under pressure. 5 minutes after the fall of the third wicket, torrential rain started. This rain eventually forced the match to be abandoned. As a result, the first ODI ended without any results.

After the first ODI, rain appeared in the second ODI as well. The match started after an hour due to rain. The match was reduced to 45 overs. Bangladesh team captain Tamim Iqbal won the toss and decided to bowl. However, the Irish batsmen didn't start the match well, but the end was impeccable.

Ireland collected 319 runs at the end of 45 overs due to the outstanding batting of two Irish batsmen Harry Tector and Dockrell. Harry Tector played an inning of a career-best 140 runs. Dockrell, on the other hand, scored 74 runs off just 47 balls to help the team score huge runs.

Bangladesh's innings were more dramatic than Ireland's. After the departure of Tamim, Liton, and Shakib in the beginning, Nazmul Hasan Shanto and Touhid Hriday's 130+ runs brought Bangladesh closer to victory. The Bangladesh team is under a lot of pressure when Hridoy is 68 and Shanto departs with his career-best 119. However, using the experience, Mushfiqur Rahim brought the team to the port of victory.

With this victory, the Bangladesh team advanced 1-0 in the series. The fate of the Odiai series will be decided in the last match. Hope Bangladesh will win that match too!
