MY FAVORITE SPORT- Formula one F1

I want show you everything you need to know about my favorite sports Formula one F1.

There are variety of sports out there, and most of us have our favorite, Formula 1 is my favorite sports and I love to watch it.
What is Formula 1 (F1)
Formula One also called F1 is an auto racing sport, it is a professional motor racing contest.
The name Formula originates from the set of rules that the drivers and their cars must follow.
Formula one racing was originated in the 1920s-30s in Europe from other racing competitions back then.
How to play the sports "Formula 1"
A Formula one always start with a warm up lap, this lap last for 30 minutes before the actual race begins, after the laps the driver must take their place on the grid in their qualifying order.
The race starts after all cars have taken their position on the grid, The race begins with the starting lights, There is 10 red lights in 5 pairs of columns, each column lights at an interval of one second in a left to right direction. After 5 Columns have been illuminated, then it stats for a few seconds and then all of them lights up at once and the game begins.

The drivers who finish at first, second and third positions at the end if the race, stands on a podium are awarded trophies.
This duration of race cannot be more than two hours, after 2 hours the race is considered finished at the end of the ongoing lap.
*Racing Fags
Green Flag- it indicates the start of a race or restart of the race.
Red Flag- it indicates danger, such as bad weather, the drivers are to stop and return to their pit immediately, depending on the situation.
Yellow Flag- This indicates caution to the drivers to slow down, this might be as a result of some accident or hazard on the track.
White Flag- It is displayed at the end of free practice session.
Red and Yellow Striped Flag- This indicates that the condition of the track is modified by debris, spilled oil or sand, which can cause loss of control and reduced grip.
The Formula one contest is to determine the winner of a race, the driver who crosses the finish line first is the winner of the race, this is determined by the number of laps completed.
Their us a Formula 1 championship held each year, each season is calked Grand Prix(GP) known as 'great prize' in English.
The minimum total distance of a Grand Prix race, adding all number of lap must be 309km or 190 miles, This is the standard.
Formula 1 world championship is made up of 10 teams with two cars, that is 20 cars can enter the competition, although The Federation Internationale de Automobile (FIA) regulations allow a limit of 26 cars for the championship.
Two awards are given at the end if the championship, which is
- Driver's Championship Awards (for drivers)
_ Constructors Championship Awards( for construction).
Popular terms in Formula 1
Backmaeker- Drivers lagging behind are called backmarkets
107% rule- a driver must not exceed 107 percent of fastest time in qualifying session, failure to this, he will not be allowed to start the race.
Cockpit- The seating area of the driver in a F1 car.
Delta time- The difference of time between two laps or two cars.
Pole position Driver who recorded fastest time during qualifying session, is awarded the first grid position.
Pits- An area where cars enter teams garage for change of wheels, refuel of car, and make other changes.
Jump start- cars that start before all the red lights go off signalling start of the race. This start is called jump start and the driver is penalize.
Why I Love this Sport
I love cars, and seeing a sports which uses, it became part of my interest, I started wtching this sports when I was a kid, the way the competitors drive this cars is so amazing, you the way they drift and make turns in edges is mind-blowing, please don't try that at home lol.

I like this game called formula one, I always played it on phone when I was still a little boy, thanks for reminding me of my childhood.
Wow.. the F1 is such a nice sport game I had opportunity to watch it only on T.V thou..

I just know the big ma called Lewis Hamilton, the terminologies in the sport is not known to me at all but it is a great watch to see machines
This is totally different from every other sports I know, though I have heard of it but I can't seat and watch this. Though it's a nice game
This is the second post I am reading on a car race. This is a very unique sport because it requires you to be all in at all times. Any mistake could be deadly. But it is still a lot of fun to watch.
