My Actifit Report Card: August 17 2025
In Gaza, tens of thousands stand daily in front of the kitchens and stagnant tekkes. Some haven't eaten for a day or two. Gaunt faces, mothers worrying about their children, and elderly people exhausted by the wait. The need is enormous, exceeding 2 million meals a day, while hunger silently and unchecked ravages bodies.
For two years, we at the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation have continued to distribute tens of thousands of meals daily, depending on the circumstances. Previously, we provided between 160,000 and 180,000 meals daily through 17 kitchens. Today, after a blockade that has lasted for more than five months, we continue to provide between 40,000 and 50,000 meals daily through five kitchens. These meals may seem small compared to the magnitude of the tragedy, but they are the effort of the few, and we wish we had the capacity to provide food for every one of our people in Gaza.
Our people in Gaza have given us so much, and we owe them a debt and a duty that we must fulfill by harnessing all our capabilities to provide all forms of urgent relief.
