Final day at Boom Town: August 13 2023
When we arrived at Boom Town on Wednesday it felt like we’re going to be there forever. 5 days of partying was ahead of us and when Sunday arrived it felt almost like a surprise.
Laleh offered her costumes to us from the day we arrived, but only yesterday I took her up on that offer and decided to glam up for that last day. Sequins and wig went on and I topped it up with my ridiculously huge glasses that I once bought on a holiday in Spain.
I quite enjoyed being dressed up to be honest. Many more random people talked to us and there was lots of laughter thanks to those costumes. For the next year I’m gonna get a few costumes of my own I think 🤔 It’s fun!
On that last day we’ve seen quite a few great bands and there was no end to jumping, singing and dancing.
Of course, I had to excuse myself and wonder off to my favourite little place - Jagermaister - for couple hours of solitude raving. The security guys there recognised me from the day before and greeted me with a smile. My only regret was that I haven’t found this place earlier and spent more time there!
Closing ceremony was pretty amazing too. Seeing so many people all together felt incredible and here again we were dancing with some random strangers.
Then rain came just as we were getting ready to sleep. It spared us for the most of the weekend and we were sure grateful for it.
Now it’s rest time. I have 2 days to recover before going back to work on Wednesday!
