In the last minute thrill, Delhi lost to Chennai and topped the list

The battle for the top spot was between Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings and Rishav Pant's Delhi Capitals. In the end, the Delhi Capitals lost to Dhoni by 3 wickets and secured their position in that position.

However, Delhi has played hard to overcome the 136-run challenge thrown by Chennai. That is why they lost 6 wickets and had only 2 balls. Still, victory is the last word. After batting for 138, Prithviraj and Shikhar Dhawan combined for 24 runs. Prithvi was out for 16 runs. Shikhar Dhawan played 35 balls and scored 39 runs. Shreyash Ayre was dismissed for 2, but Rishav Pant was dismissed for 15, Ripple Patel for 18 and Ashwin for 2.

Shimron Hetmeyer made a bit of a storm at the last minute. He played 17 balls and remained unbeaten on 26 runs. Akshar Patel was dismissed for 5 runs and Rabada hit a boundary off 1 ball to leave the field.

Rabindra Jadeja and Shardul Tagore took two wickets each for Chennai. Deepak Huda, Jos Hazelwood and Dwayne Bravo took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, after losing the toss and opting to bat, Dhoni's team scored 137 runs for the loss of 5 wickets despite Chennai's 55 off 43 balls. Dhoni made 16 runs from 26 balls. Robin Uthappa scored 19 runs.
