Marjia could not be restrained by her father's reprimand and rule. He used to go to the gymnasium secretly, explaining to his mother, ‘I would wake up before dawn and help my mother with everything. I did all the housework and cooked; I used to do this so that my mother would be happy to see my work and not make me angry. Then I would leave the house wearing a burqa. I also carried a school dress in my bag. Then I would go to school in the morning after practice. After finishing school in the afternoon and coaching, I would return home at night.

Seeing Marjia's interest in the game, elder brother Mahfuzur Rahman agreed to go for practice. Besides, Azharul Islam, a former athlete of Bangladesh Army, also took charge of Marjia. Marzia was admitted to Azhar Weightlifting Academy in Kishoreganj. Azharul explained to Marzia's parents that if the girl played well, she would get a job in the army. The future will be bright.

Marzia is grateful to this services company for playing a leading role in bringing girls into the sport, ‘I am grateful to the sirs of the army. Especially towards coach Sultana Sharia. I am very happy to think that I can give my job money to my father while I am in 10th grade, I can help my father's family. My life has changed since I joined the army. I will be able to continue my studies from here. '

Those who used to speak negatively when they saw Marjia now also appreciate it, ‘Those who used to speak badly about me to my father, now when they see me, say that this girl is the pride of our area. Others want to see me lift weights now. '

Playing weightlifting has changed the life of Mabia Akhter, a gold medalist in SA Games who came from a poor family. Marjia therefore considers Mabiya as her role model. Dreaming of winning gold at SA Games one day, ‘Who doesn’t want to be like Mabia Apur? I also dream of winning gold in SA Games one day. I want to be like Mabia Apur.
