It's been a while that I have written something about sports. When I saw the theme for this edition, I was so happy because this would afford me the opportunity to share my perspective on the impacts of sport to an individual. It's commonly said that whatever that is advantageous has its own disadvantage except is not known at a moment. One of the trending and unifying thing in the world is sports especially the football which is also known as soccer. From various materials I have consulted and the testimony of several other people, the most watched sport that has billions of people engaged either directly or indirectly is the soccer.

This is not actually an exaggeration but the truth owing to the fact that people pay more attention to soccer. Spending all kind of money in an attempt to host competition is not really a waste of money because there are advantages of sports to an individual, society and the nation at large. When I was growing up, I met my elder ones going out to watch football in a viewing center and when I got there, I saw crowd of people fixing eyes on the television. I was so shocked to my bones so people can watch football like this? Even though they weren't the ones playing but they displayed passion for their love for various clubs.

One of the significant thing about sports and football is that it create platforms for people to familiarize themselves. Imagine such competitions aren't organized, how would they get to know themselves? How would they be able to visit one nation to another? I see unity as one of the outstanding impacts that football does to the entire nation. I haven't seen any platform that enables nation to be bounded together in love. How would one say that spending money on sport is a waste of resources?

Currently one of the most paying sport is football. So many people that had a terrible family background got opportunity to play in certain tournaments which today some amazing clubs have hired their services. The money they make is quite amazing if care is not taken it could even be up to what some top government officers are receiving in their nation. I know of so many footballers that responded back to their community with huge programs that has helped humanity. There are some of the footballers that own some foundations which is complimenting the efforts of the government. This is why sport is very important and it worth all the effort to ensure it's sustainability.

I have a teenager in my house that is in senior secondary school two. Once its game time, you would see the kind of efforts he puts in order to leave the house and attend games. At first I wanted to stop him but on the second thought there are many of them that started like that and today got favored to change location. Aside from the economic benefits, this kind of sports helps to keep the body system fit and healthy. Hardly would you hear complain about sicknesses or any body weaknesses.

Spending money during world cup etc is a good development and I am in total support.
