Today was a nice day. Chilled this morning. Wrote a Freewrite (see below).

It was my brother's birthday so I composed a little song, played, sung and recorded it for him.

The afternoon we went up the other house. Did some furniture rearranging.

Usual amount of dog walking.

Saw my brother on video chat which was great.

Today, I wrote for 5 mins using a generated prompt from The Most Dangerous Writing App

prompt: “Someone must have seen him, because the police were at his door.”

He hesitates at the door, his eye at the peephole.

There are two of them.

A young man, who shifts in his uniform, edgy, full of nervous energy, and an older woman. She looks relaxed, but he sees her eyes dart around, and notes her hand rests on the butt of her gun.

The young policeman raps on the door again.

"Police," he shouts. "Can you open up?"

He is looking straight at Miles and he realises the officer can probably tell there is someone looking at him on the other side of the peephole.

Miles takes a deep breath.

"Just a minute," he says.

He glances around the room. Nothing incriminating is here. He made sure not to bring anything home that would link him to that place.

He unlocks the door, unhooks the chain and fastens a smile onto his face.

"How can I help you, officers?" he says, as he opens the door.

The young officer smiles back at him.
