Today, I served breakfast to the guests after walking the dogs.
Stripped the room and moved stuff down from the loft (our summer residence) to room 1 (our winter residence).
Walked dogs a few more times.
Did some felting and uke practice too.
Still feel grotty. Not sure if it's just a bad cold or covid.
Anyhoo...
Today, I wrote for 5 mins using @mariannewest’s freewrite prompt and writing using The Most Dangerous Writing App
"Good job!" the man in the sunglasses said. He waved the gun at the body on the floor and then whipped it back into my face. "Now, get the shovel."
I blinked at him and raised an eyebrow. I didn't really have a choice.
There was no way I could overpower him, even if he were clumsy enough to get close enough. My left arm hung uselessly by my side, blood oozing out of the wound.
At least it wasn't pumping, I thought. But then again, perhaps if the bullet had struck an artery it would have been for the best.
After all, there was only one way this story was going to end: with me in a shallow grave next to my wife.
"How am I going to dig a grave?" I asked. "With my arm like this?" The man chuckled. "I told you to get the spade," he said. "I didn't tell you what I wanted you to do with it." I tried to shrug, but it was only half effective, with my arm an' all.
"Okay," I said, picking up the shovel.
