Today, I walked the dogs after I prepared breakfast but before I served it to the B&B guests.

Then I drove off to gueret (biggist town in our small department) to help set up a pop up Christmas shop that will open next week

Did a bit of walking back and to to the car.

Walked the dogs when I got home and again before bed.

Today, I wrote for 5 mins using @mariannewest’s Freewriters community Freewrite prompt and used The Most Dangerous Writing App to write it

prompt: “G-rated”

The books on the shelves were all G-rated: all safe, nice books for nice boys and girls. Same for the DVDs. Maria smiled.

It was nice to see physical items on shelves.

So many of her friends’ parents had gone "minimalist". They lived in a completely digital world, with no CDs (of course), no books, and no magazines. Even the device that played the music wasn't recognisable as something that might create sound. The only thing in most people's houses that was still obvious was the television screen.

Not that any of her friends used it to watch traditional cable TV, of course.

"Do you like my collection?"

Maria jumped at the sound of his voice. For a moment she had forgotten she was not alone.

"Yes," she said. "I do."

"I like to own things," he said.

There was something in the way that he emphasised the word own that made Maria feel uncomfortable.
