Introducing Myself (again) - FerranLogs
Hi,
It's... @empoderat from another account.
I have decided to take the (scary?) step of doxing myself (after... 8 years onchain, just WOW how time flies)
My name is Ferran.
That's me, chilling a few days after HiveFest '22 in Amsterdam.
Why now though?
Frankly a few reasons.
"I want to get back to writing" it's one of them.
I've realized that it's harder for me if I can't talk about everyday life; something I find harder from an anon account. I'd like to talk a little more about myself more often, what moves me, and be able to share deep thoughts in a more natural way.
Oh, and just a heads up that a good chunk of my content might end up being in Spanish.
The name "ferranlogs" comes from a reference to a journal.
I think I will have a much better chance of growing with a new format than trying to adapt the old one.
In the end it's not only about "growing", it's also about finding inner peace, something I've found writing does wonders. I talk a lot with my inner self. Do you? writing is another form of self-introspection.
I Need a Full Reset
Iv'e always said that my relationship with HIVE is a love and hate one.
And I'm currently into a bit of the second. I don't like how the chain is progressing in the financial and marketing side of things (and I haven't really gotten very involved in it, to be honest.) so I'm currently into a full powerdown on my main account.
After many months of frustration, I've given up and decided to "let it be". I'm honestly tired of worrying about things that extends far and wide outside of my control.
Hive has been one of those rare occasions when I bet too much on an idea I believed in strongly, disregarding the most basic rules of capital management. Lesson learned though.
So.. whatever. Let it be as I said.
You know those times when you feel that you need to throw everything out the window and start over again? That's one of them.
I'll probably be moving most of my activity from my formerly account @empoderat slowly into this one.
It's also an interesting time to see how many of my (850?) followers here are still active. You're reading this and want to keep contact with me? Follow me and I'll follow you back (If I recognise you, ofc).
My project Power Ventures continues as usual.
In any case, I may change the format of the monthly reports and, instead of publishing them directly on Hive, send an email to holders upon request. (more on this later, I still have details to work out).
Thanks for reading!
Hi Ferran,
only saw on the second view that you are not really new but @empoderat, a well respected Account. I really admire you were able to create a project with a tokenomics that seems to work and gains value, PWR Token being worth much more than 1 HIVE when it started at the same level.
Sad to hear you are dissapointed by Hive at the moment. Will follow to see how things will go. Hope you stay and not leave though I understand some of the frustration you‘re aluding too.
Keep on Hiving!
Thomas
PS: Nice snapshot of you. 😋
Thx for the never ending support. Working hard to make it more valuable day by day. Still a little baby, but great things need a foundation. Glad to have you onboard, Thomas :)
Regarding this, it's only my fault. Simply had other expectations back in the day, but won't burn anymore for that.
Thanks once again for the kind words 😄

Hey dude, nice to see you on the social account side of this all and also bummer to see you have reached the point where you only want to be on the social side of it all. I think we met for like 1 second at hivefest back then.
Coming from someone who only writes about nonsense whenever she feels like it: Don't judge yourself on only doing that part on hive that gives good vibes. I feel like you did you part on trying to make it all thrive. Don't forget it can also 'just be fun'
Welcome (back)!
I remember seeing your username, but unfortunately I don't think we had much time to connect. Another time :)
Thanks for this words. Sometimes I take things too serious... and not really necessary. Wise advice
He kicked your ass at the balls game, and it was longer than a second!
Impossible!!
'New balls please!'
Well, everybody was using the same balls. We need to redo it at the next time we meet.
Jo faré 10 dies a mitjans d'Agost :)
Seguim en contacte sr
🌄 Good morning (here)! ☕
It was interesting to find this post in my feed, as I begin my day. You are somewhat well known to me, as we have corresponded a bit directly elsewhere.
Understood. Well understood, in fact, although I had my version of the same basic problem. And what is that?

Acknowledging this far later than was financially prudent. 🙄🤷♂️ I wish I had captured the above then, but ... I have begun to capture it since ... #293 (3 Apr 2025) ...
With that said ...
... there is no question part of the appeal of any OGs generating content for the Steem Hive blockchain is something greater than a narrow focus on being a prudent investor.
I wish you well in your new adventures "in here." I enjoy reading your content. It sounds like it is about to become even more interesting. As I hope your studies have ended well, all the best to you for a better tomorrow! 🫡🤝
Thanks for the kind words, my dear Rob :)
Reading you brought me a nice smile.
As I explained in the post, I needed to break away from that phase and emotional attachment, put aside purely speculative/economic interests (nothing wrong with them) and simply enjoy Hive for what it is and not for what it could be.
It was killing me.
I have finished my studies and have started working as a Junior Systems Analyst at a multinational company. I am learning so much! The corporate career is suiting me well.
I have lost ~22 pounds in the last year, I sleep better, and I exercise. My partner has just opened a restaurant in town, we have a busy but happy life.
I would like to have one or two children, but that's still a few years away. We need to continue stabilizing our current situation.
Thank you for your kind words.
Excellent, Ferran:
Ending my career as a Business Systems Analyst, I had thoughts more than once at the end that I wish I had started my career with that discipline.
The problem? That discipline did not even EXIST, when I began my career!?
We live in fascinating times. The rate of change is only accelerating ...
Part of my great appreciation for Hive is the opportunity to engage directly with others all over the world. No intermediary. No ... "Filters" ... Just straight up ...
Sounds like you are off and running along in your new well-earned career path. I'll look forward to future installments of how that is going here in your new account. 👍🙂
For sure! Thank you once again
Hive's time will come, when is the question, until then I just plan on growing what stake I can and inviting and curating as many users I believe deserve it as much as I can. Many will make me regret it and many will make me happy about having distributed inflation towards them, it's the way it is. :D
Nice to put a face behind the name!
Thanks for stopping by the post, Acid. I've added you to my follow list again, haha.
Crypto lords might hear you, dear. Let's cross fingers for the future.
@alexvan told me back in '22 that he expected a geek femboy with hentai dreams and instead got a pretty normal and tall guy (not as tall as @lordbutterfly though).
Pretty sure that's what people think of me, too! :D
"Average Hiver Starter Pack" - (for whatever reason AI dont like hive logo)
Miedo, mucho miedo... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No, people only think that you are wearing a @strawhat. Pun intended.
Nasty man
Well, at least he let @strawhat go, in November of last year, need to appreciate that.
What are you implying?
Nothing, stories from the good old steem.chat, before discord. All good.
I said, I was thinking you look like someone from the Canary Island, skinnier and blond. But we are the same weight class, so it is fine. @lordbutterfly eats us both for breakfast.
Canary Islands? Blonde? They're darker than greeks, that's for sure.
:)))
Our @trumpman is dark blonde.
It's definitely difficult to share everyday things from an anonymous account. You have to keep everything private, but you want to tell people about your daily life here. There are some accounts that have been doing this successfully for years, but I chose to show myself on Hive. You look cool.
Exactly, that's the problem. Ironically you're into your "anon jail".
Welcome home!
Yes, welcome again! He is a good addition to Hive
Sure!
Good afternoon, my friend!
I am very happy that you want to embark on a new direction. I confess that “forcing” myself to write something about myself, or about something I heard on a podcast, or about a thought that came to me is therapeutic, and keeps me focused on what is important.
So often we are led to believe that productivity and proactivity are all about achieving maximum output and being very prolific.
I notice, however, that keeping a journal forces me to see things differently. It forces me to focus more on what really matters. Even if sometimes what matters is not positive. That's also part of it. There's no harm in not always being at 100%. That's what makes us more human. That's our true magic and our real advantage over machines or automation.
I hope to be able to follow your posts on your new profile. I confess that I am excited to learn a little more about your thoughts and ideas. You certainly have a lot to offer, regardless of whether you do so in your native language or in English.
Fortunately, nowadays, there are many tools to help those who are not so fluent in Spanish.
A big hug from your friend, O.!
We need a special #BeerSaturday, Iberico edition. I might join, if @detlev does his magic.
Oh, that sounds so good! And I believe that even if @pardinus isn't a "beer lover", he will join in too!
It does not matter if beer is a love or not, the people matter.
Only the people matter, indeed :)
We tend to get the humanity out of our lives, and this is sad.
I think is the worst part of it... Sadness, deception, and inhumanity. You are so right, alex
Have a great weekend!
Needless to say, count me in into the Iberico edition. @resiliencia is also coming for sure
IN of course!
I would love to meet your good friend @resiliencia in person!
🙂🙂
Iberico meeting is definitely a good idea; some tiny organization and we could likely pull it off. If the meeting is tapas y charlas solamente, is already a win! ;)
Thanks to @honeydue, I've heard about a Hive meeting in Alicante next year. Might be something interesting. https://peakd.com/hive-148309/@honeydue/hive-open-days-26-taking-a-far-away-plunge
Thanks for the heads up, will look into it!
Thank you. O. Gracias. Significa mucho para mí estas palabras.
La verdad es que es increíble, después de estos años. Muchas personas habrían olvidado todo ya. Pero los memorias siguen vívidas en la mente.
Abrazo.
Essa é uma das mais belas particularidades da vida. Somos sempre surpreendidos. Algumas vezes, felizmente, no bom sentido.
10/10, would bang
The little Priapus in you. I know you like any tits, but his are kind of Iberico-hairy.
20/10 I would bang back dear
Ola amigo! Guapo! This chubby Mario Casas. Or at least the image you posted is the Ferran I know.
How are you, my friend?
I'm feeling you on so many things right now. I post daily, for me, to connect with friends and enjoy it. That is it, anything else, let it be.
Will probably need to come to Barcelona, for a business meeting, and if I'm coming will let you know, to have a meetup. Maybe @toofasteddie can run to us.
Let me know for sure and I'm dropping around as agenda allows.
Contact me thru discord and I'm sharing phone number, in case you dont have it anymore or whatever.
I don't think we spoke in Amsterdam but I had a task from someone who wasn't at HF to identify you so said person could see who they were 'investing' in. It took me a while but I managed in the end 🙃
Lol what.
My old project SEED was rocking back then.
Hopefully I managed to be "good enough" for that person hehe.
Cheers
Yooo.... how did I missed this :) Just seing it
Ure welcome dear :)

Moving account seems hella scary, I'm somewhat tempted since I'd kinda would like my actual handle/account name to be the same as everywhere else on the internet after I 'rebranded' a while back.
I mean I can change my display name but everyone still has to @ me with the old name.
I was worried about grinding the witness ranks again on a new account but then again.. I don't really need to change the witness account as such so maybe I could shift accounts.
I donno. Seems like such a silly reason as my account name is 'wrong' now lol.
I'm a Hive Witness supporting the blockchain, please consider voting for me. - find out more here!
It is, but over the long term is much better imho, early you make the switch, early you reap the benefits.
You can always use a different account exclusively for the witness node. That's how I do it myself. In that case the ideal is to let your actual account as the witness and start creating the new content on the other.
Over time your fanbase will notice, and you'll filter a lot of old accounts too.
If I can help you in any way/advise you on the process, you can also contact me on Discord if you want. Oh, and I still need to vote for your witness (I don't have the my active key handy right now).
cheers sir!
You know what, I'm going to go for it! I can transition my old account into a sudo cold storage account or something as well as like you say being my witness account.
