Sports can be very cruel.
Yesterday my favorite basketball team played a Euroleague game against Olympiacos. We lost but something even worse happened in that game. A former player of my favorite team is now in Olympiacos. He was not able to play basketball for very long time(500+ days I believe) due to injury. Few days ago he returned to the basketball court in Greece domestic league. He played well and it seemed that his injuries are a thing of the past. But yesterday he had to play his first game in Euroleague after that long absence. He played for a few minutes and then got injured again. Torn achilles... So he will once again miss the rest of the season. I been more or less in a good physical health all my time so I can't imagine how Keenan Evans must feel right now. But most insane fact is not that he got injured again. I think that it is really cruel twist of fate that he got injured after playing just a few minutes after his return. This makes me glad that I am not an athlete. Sure I will probably never get millions of eur but at least I will also probably not ruin my health that quickly. As for Keenan Evans he was a great player and helped my favorite team a lot in the past. Still now I think that taking him back to our team in the future would be way too risky. At least as a first or second option. Besides I still hope that we will manage to keep Sylvain Francisco(our current star player). So I hope that Keenan Evans will find happiness and success outside of basketball court because inside of it something is clearly going wrong...

That's such a tragedy. Nevertheless, I wish him a speedy recovery.
I think basketball isn't favorable to his health
yes he is awesome player. Or was an awesome player? but sometimes having a talent is just not enough. and the best ability is availability...
You're right, let's hope and pray he bounces back fully recovered.
Such a sad and tough reality of sports. It’s heartbreaking to see Keenan Evans face another injury just after his return. Athletes really give their all, but the risks they take are huge. I truly hope he recovers well and finds strength to keep going.
yes it will very challenging physically and even more so mentally.
Did not know Greece liked Basketball 🇬🇷 and about Euroleague 🏀 I see Greece is in the top Ranking.
Yes my favorite team Kauno Žalgiris(from Lithuania) is in one of the top spots as well. Basketball is really popular in Lithuania, Greece, Turkey and Serbia.

When athletes get heavy injures, they are most likely to get more in the future
Yes I heard that before as well.
That sounds like a real bummer. Imagine you have prepared and conditioned yourself for 500 days, excited to get back, and then you have this injury again. You have to wait for weeks or perhaps months again to get back to doing your thing that you're passionate about!
I bet with the kind of injury he has now, his rest could be much shorter than he had previously. So, I hope he could get back on track. This might teach him a thing or two about recovery and safety when playing games.
yes, life sometimes sucks.
That is really sad to hear, and I can feel how much this hurt you as a fan. It does feel unfair, and it makes you think about how fragile an athlete’s career can be. I hope Keenan Evans finds strength, support, and peace in the days ahead, no matter what he decides to do.
yes it makes me think that earning millions at a cost of your health is a bad trade.
