I have lost count of the number of times that I have switched things up for these journals. It has been a lot! I will start with saying that adding tarot to these posts was the best choice that I ever made. Between the affirmation (mind) the step and habit tracker (body) and the tarot cards (spirit) - this remains the perfect combo to represent my personality and the type of balanced health that I am striving to maintain. And so my decision to strip that all the way down, it has nothing to do with the brief success that I had with this format. I do not know what the future holds, but so far tarot is planned to come back to these journals one day. For now I really need to reprioritize and make some sacrifices in regards to how my time is being spent here.

For the last couple of winters there has been this one massive passion project that is very important to me, but it keeps getting delayed again and again. And the pieces keep staring at me, waiting to be finished. Waiting to become the only modern divination collection of its kind in the world. The skills to make it happen need to be picked up and practiced every once in awhile as a refresher - but as the months go past in between sessions, it gets harder and harder to pick up where I left off. Multitasking is not my strong suit. I have finally decided that wrapping up this one particular project absolutely must happen this winter! In a less distracted frame of mind. A passion project that will eventually lead to financial security is the best kind, and I could really use more of that security sooner rather than later.

Actifit tokens have always been a welcome incentive, but a bonus. For the first chunk of my time here I didn't even qualify to earn them - I just loved the idea of having a journal. Up until now my focus has been on a less is more approach to exercise, and merging that with decent quality posts that show some extra effort. I am not complaining, but it does not appear to matter how much time is spent adding more interest and variety to these reports - because the most important factor that determines the amount of actifit awarded will always be the number of steps. It is the main reason people participate in this community, and the metrics favour quantity over quality and the more athletic folks. I think it might be interesting to see what will happen when I focus more on getting the most steps possible - maybe even 10K - and less on trying to make these posts into a main blockchain offering. This is a rather lonely group. Maybe all that really matters to many of the more prominent actifitters are the numbers? I can roll with that for awhile.

Anyway, to summarize this whole thing it has come to my attention that most of the energy that has gone into figuring out this place, creating these journals and on unfinished recipes and other longer posts, would be better redistributed elsewhere. At least until I have more of it to spare. I am still going to be using actifit - just not with the same enthusiastic mind/body/spirit approach and as the main blockchain offering. I hope that makes some sense! As that previously mentioned project starts to wrap up, it will be time for me to come up with another type of contribution to bring something interesting to the blockchain. Some of the free spirited creative writing groups have caught my interest. In the meantime, I have gone through all of my drafts and there are about eight that are for the most part finished and worth being published in the near future.

This is generally about the time of year when we start to think about what we have accomplished, and how we want to enter the new year. And so I am going to enter it with the finished assets and resources needed to create more freedom.
