My Actifit Report Card: September 22 2025

Today I got an opportunity to fulfill a very important social responsibility with some of my colleagues. Together we all campaigned to make the community and the younger generation aware of cancer.

Today breast cancer, lung cancer and oral cancer are increasing rapidly. The biggest challenge of these diseases is that people do not recognize their early symptoms or ignore them. As a result, the disease has progressed a lot by the time the patient reaches the hospital. This is the reason that awareness is the strongest weapon of this fight.

We explained to the people that many types of cancer can be avoided by making small changes in lifestyle. For example, distance from tobacco and alcohol, taking a balanced diet, regular exercise and doing health checkups from time to time. Especially the message was given to the youth to be aware themselves and also make their family and friends aware.

During this campaign, we interacted directly with the youth, answered their questions and shared the necessary information through pemphlets. I loved seeing that most of the youth listened seriously and promised that they would spread this message even further.

I myself am associated with a cancer hospital, so it is my responsibility to get out of the boundary wall of the hospital and reach the society. This is not just a formal initiative, but it is also my personal resolve to make more and more people aware so that we can protect the coming generations from fatal diseases like cancer.

Today's experience was very satisfactory for me. I believe that if we all spread awareness together, it is possible to defeat cancer. This is not just a campaign but a continuous effort - a healthy society and a step towards a safe future.
