Spin the Wheel : Infection Control Quiz

Greetings of the day,

Today in hospital we had one more activity of Infection Control Week. It was called Spin the Wheel-Infection Control Quiz, and I really liked how everyone took part in it.

The wheel was made colourful, hanging on the wall with different infection topics written on it- like hand hygiene, PPE, waste segregation, sterilization and few more. People were coming one by one, spinning it, and whatever topic came, they had to answer or show the right practice.

There was full fun inside the hall. Everyone laughing, cheering, clapping, and also learning small things again. Some gave funny answers, some serious ones, and few were too quick to respond. Doctors, nurses and even housekeeping joined, which made it look like one big family game.

Our infection control team was there too, giving hints and correcting mistakes in a friendly way. It didn’t look like a quiz, more like a friendly game with learning hidden inside.

I liked how everyone forgot their busy routine for some time and just enjoyed together. Such small things make big difference because we remember lessons more when we smile.

At the end, everyone said we should have these kinds of games more often. Infection control is not boring actually - if we do it like this, everyone will take interest. I went back smiling, thinking how simple ideas can make serious topics easy and fun.
