Small Technical Problem in Operation Theater and Day Experience

Today my full day was very busy and little different from normal days. Morning I wake up early and after doing daily routine I go to work. But today when I reach hospital, there was one big issue in operation theater. The OT light was not working properly. This light is very important for doctors because during surgery clear visibility is must. If light is not proper then surgery cannot be done safely.

So because of this problem, whole day doctors did not perform any surgery. All scheduled operations were stopped. Many patients were waiting but safety is first priority so doctors decided not to take any risk. I was also involved in checking and fixing this problem. We start inspection of OT light system. This type of light is special surgical light which give focused and shadow free illumination. It works with electrical and mechanical system both.

First we check power supply, wiring connections and switches. Everything look normal but still light was flickering and not stable. Then we check inside components of light like LED module and internal driver. There was some issue in connection and maybe small damage in internal part. We clean the dust also because sometimes dust can affect performance and heat generation.

Operation theater environment must be very clean and controlled. Not only light but all equipment should work perfect. Because even small error can create big problem during surgery. We also take care that while repairing we follow hygiene and safety protocol. Proper gloves and mask used so contamination not happen.

Whole day we spend in troubleshooting and repairing work. It take long time because this is not simple home light. This is medical equipment so careful handling is needed. Slowly we identify exact fault area and repair it. Some parts adjusted and connection fixed properly. After that we test the light again and finally it start working stable and bright.

By evening time, problem was solved. Doctors also check the light and they were satisfied. Now operation theater is ready for use again. So from tomorrow surgeries will start normally. It was little stressful day because patients and doctors both were waiting, but at end everything become fine.

From this experience I understand how important maintenance and regular checking is in hospital equipment. If we do regular inspection then maybe such problem can be avoided. Scientific approach is always needed in medical field because everything is based on precision and safety.

After finishing work in evening, I feel little tired but also happy that problem got solved. Then I go to my friend house because today was birthday celebration. There was small party arranged. Decoration was nice with balloons and simple setup. We all spend some good time together. After full day technical work, this time was relaxing.

We talk, eat food and celebrate birthday. It was good change from serious hospital environment to happy personal moment. Life is like this only, sometimes stress and sometimes happiness. Both are part of daily routine.

So today day was mix of technical problem, teamwork and small celebration. I learn many things about handling equipment and importance of patience. Also I feel that even small work like repairing light can affect many people, so responsibility is important.

At end of day I come back home and take rest. Tomorrow again normal work will start with surgeries. Hope everything go smooth.
