Went up on the hill and cut logs down to rounds and some trundled down the hill. I got done and went to pickup the gas and oil and looked up to see these mere feet away. The recent rains popped fungus all around the farm, these ard the biggest I saw.

I wonder why rain brings up mushrooms everywhere even when we don't plant them

Because the mushroom is just the fruiting body of the mycelium that is growing in the ground. The rains are the signal for them to fruit and spread their spores.
