Mandolin Practice, Mandala Exchange, JM Bullion, Wrestling Practice - Monday

Monday means back to the regular weekly routine. J has been setting his alarm to get up half an hour early so he can come out to soak which is okay now that he knows not to be a jabbering fool. Both boys devoured the left over waffles for breakfast and really love them. If Azure would get the mix back in stock I could make them a lot more often since the birds are laying again.

I have found a slight issue in trying to learn Whiskey Before Breakfast. I did a general search for the tabs for it and I have come up with no less than 12 different versions of it. The issue is which one do I focus on learning? I found this cool site http://www.tunefox.com that allows you to change the difficulty of the tabs which removes notes as you go easier and does play along but to change the speed you have to pay. Between the 6 Tabledit versions and the 6 that I found before stopping my search, each one is different a little bit. There is lots of the structure that is the same but a lot that is different or additional.

I have been wanting to add to my silver and gold stack for a while and I finally have an exchange that is NOT KYC. As long as I VPN from outside the US I am good. It has a pretty high liquidity and my trades go through pretty quickly. I have been stuck for so long since I refuse to KYC and most every exchange has turned to it out of fear of the FTC. I have used Ionomy a lot but their liquidity is nowhere near as high as Mandala.

I have not bought any gold since 2009, just silver, and I decided it was time to use some of my crypto funds to start adding to my stack. I saw @solominer's post about his good experience with JM Bullion and I figured it was worth checking out. They accept crypto in many forms which was the main driving force for me and their prices ended up being a $1 or 2 higher than SD Bullion but still worth the purchase. I got myself a little Valentines gift for the stack and will post about it once it arrives.

Was scoping out the new metal detectors and wow the Garret Ace Apex is a lot more affordable now. The bounty hunter that I had years ago pales in comparison and I am kind of glad I sold it. The new ones are so much more powerful and lighter weight.

Much of my day was taken up with the researching, converting, and purchasing. In the afternoon once the boys were home from school I put on Mythbusters until it was time to leave for wrestling practice. I had dinner made well before and they both ate pretty well. We got to the school at the normal time and there was hardly anyone there. Ended up that there was maybe half the normal number of kids. Likely due to it being Valentines day.

They started practice with their warm ups and stretches.

Pretty quickly they all went to partners and kept working on the escapes from bottom. Post to one foot, stand straight up and lean back into the top person while pushing against their locked hands, then spinning out away from them.

R ended up with the highly distracting kid again and they got a number of one on two with a coach showing them the moves again and again.

J and M got some good time with coach Cole and they listened and did what he was telling them.

It's taking a while for R to understand fully what is going on on the mat and we will see if he will be really ready for the first actual match.

Game of sideways bear crawl around the circle, chasing the person in front of them. R is so small that he just got run over and ended up sitting by me until the exercise was done.

30 second rounds of trying to escape from the bottom went on for a good while. J worked with a different kid for once and they got more time with coach Cole. There really is something to be said for only 30 kids at practice compared to the 50+ normally. The kids get more time with the coaches.

The last half hour or so was spent in a little escape tournament. The smaller kids to one and the bigger to the other.

The goal was for the bottom person to escape the top and if they did they won and went back to the down position. The next kid comes out and tries to keep them from getting up. The younger kids did not quite get the idea of standing up and R kept trying to buck them off him instead of standing.

J figured it out but he is just not quite strong enough or has good enough technique yet. Both boys had fun though and were pretty well worked by the time we were leaving.

They both soaked for a while before bed and I tucked them in once I was inside.

SD bullion is another that I found on GAB and is seemingly comparable to JM bullion. I'm looking forward to summer when I can go out and do some sluicing.
