👚Shopping for sportswear || Comprando ropa deportiva 👚
With the start of my gym membership, I found the perfect excuse to go shopping and buy everything I needed for my daily classes. It turns out I didn't even have a decent t-shirt or anything specifically designed for sweating and exercising properly, so I had to buy EVERYTHING!
First, I went around looking at the options. I visited some stores that sell inexpensive, general clothing, and while they aren't specifically athletic wear, you can find t-shirts and sporty outfits for around $5.
Con el inicio del gym, encontré la excusa perfecta para irme de shopping y comprar lo que necesitaba para mis clases diarias. Resulta que no tenÃa ni una franela decente o especial para sudar y hacer los ejercicios de forma correcta, asà que debÃa comprar ¡DE TODO! Primero me di una vuelta a ver las opciones. Fui por algunas tiendas donde hay ropa general y económica que, si bien no son directamente de ropa deportiva, se pueden conseguir franelas y look deportivo por $5 aproximadamente.
The other option is the stores that sell these cute clothes I see on Instagram or that some of my friends at the gym wear, and I think, "Wow, I'd love some of those." The thing is, each pair of pants costs about $12, and doing the math, I need about 10 pairs 🙃. Considering I have other expenses, maybe I'll treat myself later when I see my toned body and it's worth the effort to show it off in workout clothes; something like a reward for myself 😊. For now, I just need to be comfortable and fulfill the purpose of only wearing these clothes to the gym.
La otra opción son las tiendas donde están vendiendo esta ropa bonita que veo por Instagram o que algunas compañeras en el gym llevan y pienso: "mira, me gustarÃa una asÃ". El detalle está en que cada pantalón cuesta unos $12 y, sacando cuentas, necesito unos 10 🙃. Reflexionando que tengo otros gastos, quizás más adelante me dé ese gustico cuando vea mi cuerpo tonificado y valga el esfuerzo lucirlo bajo un atuendo deportivo; algo como un premio para mà 😊. Mientras, solo necesito estar cómoda y cumplir con la función de que esa ropa solo la use para asistir al gym.
Flannel shirts are more affordable and come in various colors. I bought cotton or fabric ones, which are easier to wash, and not the lycra type, which I feel clings to my body and makes me feel suffocated.
Las franelas sà son más accesibles y de varios tonos. Yo compré de algodón o tela, que son más fáciles de lavar, y no tipo licra, que siento que se me pega al cuerpo y me deja como asfixiada.
I chose both long and short pants because I also feel like they restrict my movement for doing the exercises properly. I have to find something really comfortable because otherwise, I'm likely to give up before I've even worn all the new gear I bought 🤣.
Los pantalones los escogà entre largos y cortos porque siento también que no me dejan moverme para hacer los ejercicios correctamente. Tengo que buscar mucha comodidad porque, de lo contrario, estoy propensa a abandonar antes de estrenarme toda la mercancÃa comprada 🤣.
I bought some tights to complete the look, and they've been a huge help because I take my shoes off when I go to the gym. I find it more hygienic because I do a lot of floor exercises, and it's not appropriate to walk around in shoes like that. I have a solid-color pair and a multicolored pair so I don't confuse people, since I always wear the same ones, even though I know I don't 😆. Mind you, they don't really match the rest of the outfit, but, as I said, comfort is my priority; everything else, like luxury or being fashionable, will come later 😉.
Compré unas medias para complementar el look y han sido de gran ayuda porque cuando entro a entrenar me quito los zapatos. Me parece más higiénico porque hago muchos ejercicios en el suelo y no es apropiado pasar por los zapatos asÃ. Tengo unas unicolor y unas de colores variados para no confundir a la audiencia, que siempre me pongo las mismas, aunque yo sé que no 😆. Ojo, no combinan mucho con lo comprado, pero, como dije, primero busco comodidad que otra cosa; ya vendrá lo demás, como el lujo o estar a la moda 😉.
Underwear was also an essential part of my purchase, and I made sure it was made of fabric so it would absorb sweat. That choice has worked out very well for me.
La ropa interior también formó parte esencial de mi compra y procuré que fuera de tela también para que absorba el sudor. Me ha ido muy bien con esa elección.
Overall, I've had great success with all my outfits, which I try to vary every week so I don't look repetitive. As for clothing care, I have five weekly combinations that I lay out every Sunday to start on Monday, so I don't repeat outfits from the previous week. I wash them carefully on Saturdays and follow the same routine every week.
En general, me ha ido muy bien con todos mis looks, que trato de variar todas las semanas para no parecer repetitiva. En cuanto al cuidado, tengo 5 combinaciones semanales que dejo listas cada domingo para iniciar el lunes y asà no repetir de la semana anterior. Los sábados las lavo cuidadosamente y hago el mismo procedimiento cada semana.
Since I can never have enough, I'm waiting for my paycheck to go buy some shirts I'm missing, as well as panties, jumpsuits, and everything else 😎. The best part? I found a store where I've bought several t-shirts and towels for less than $2, and they're direct from the US 🌟.
Como nunca es suficiente, estoy esperando cobrar mi salario para ir a comprar unas camisas que me faltan, al igual que panties, unos monos y todo lo demás 😎. ¿Lo mejor? Es que conseguà una tienda donde he comprado varias franelas y toallas por menos de $2 y son directas de EEUU 🌟.
