Y desde que anunciaron que Marinos volvería a su casa, nuestros corazones y recuerdos saltaron al tabloncillo, conjuntamente con el equipo.
Hablar de Marinos es hablar de tradición, de familias enteras amantes del baloncesto, de historias de triunfos y logros con nombres que quedarán en nuestra memoria por las múltiples alegrías que nos han traído por casi 4 décadas.
Al anunciarse la temporada, se generó una expectativa y alegría que recorrió rápidamente las calles de la ciudad. Para los seguidores del baloncesto, ha sido un tema de conversación cotidiana, porque desde las redes sociales nos informan de los jugadores que estarían, las remodelaciones que ha sufrido el tabloncillo, los calendarios de juegos, por lo que nos mantienen atentos de todo lo que tiene el equipo para ofrecernos esta temporada.

For basketball fans, it has been a daily topic of conversation, because through social media we are informed about the players who would be there, the renovations that the court has undergone, the game schedules, which keeps us attentive to everything the team has to offer us this season.
La previa
La temporada inició el sábado 7 de marzo. Acá jugaron ese día, pero las entradas se agotaron (es de entender que todo el mundo quería ir) y para estar buscando reventa y luchando contra mucha gente, preferí guardarme para otro juego. Me gusta el calendario del domingo, pero por la eliminación del equipo del Táchira (creo) se reprogramó el juego para la semana siguiente.
El mismo día de la venta de entradas por internet la compré porque, si algo me gusta en esta vida, es el juego de baloncesto y ver jugar a mi equipo, con el que crecí y añoro; excelente recuerdo me hizo pasar todos los días siguientes emocionada por el juego.
The preview The season started on Saturday, March 7. They played here that day, but the tickets sold out (it's understandable that everyone wanted to go) and rather than searching for resale and fighting against many people, I preferred to save myself for another game. I like the Sunday schedule, but due to the elimination of the Táchira team (I think) the game was rescheduled for the following week. The same day the tickets went on sale online, I bought them because if there is something I like in this life, it is basketball and watching my team play, the one I grew up with and long for; it gave me excellent memories and made me excited about the game every day afterward.
El complejo está casi igual; los vendedores, la policía, la entrada, todo en el mismo lugar. Lo que más me emocionó es que no usaba mi camisa desde hace 10 años, por lo que es un modelo viejo, y ver a las personas también con camisas modelo viejo, pero con la misma emoción que yo, pienso que es una manera de decirle al equipo "¡aquí estamos!, ¡Siempre te esperamos!"
El tabloncillo se ve excelente y moderno. Los equipos ya estaban practicando, por lo que pude ver a los antiguos o famosos como Gregory y Anthony (que está lesionado), así como los importados de Dime y Anderson, pero también aprecié a las nuevas adquisiciones como Materán, Centeno o Fulda, que le dan ese toque renovado que quiere presentar Marinos en la cancha.

El juego
En cuanto al juego, ciertamente Marinos demuestra superioridad. Quizás no como el juego de gladiadores (debo admitirlo), pero su presencia en la cancha definitivamente marca la diferencia. Lo noté ese día como en los juegos previos que he visto por TV.
Si hay un punto que ha acompañado a Marinos desde los 90, léase bien, los 90, el problema más frecuente del equipo es que no controla ni mantiene el marcador. Acá en la zona tenemos un chiste que es: no seas como Marinos... Esto quiere decir que vas ganando por 20 puntos y pierdes por 1. Esto se debe a que comienzan a inventar con tiros de 3, a hacer pases innecesarios y todos quieren ser figuras, por lo que la efectividad de los tiros baja considerablemente y creo que el otro equipo siempre lo sabe, porque aprovecha para remontar y ganar.

El juego estuvo dominado por Pioneros del Ávila y en pocas ocasiones Marinos logró ponerse por 3 puntos, pero caían en el error que les mencioné anteriormente y el equipo contrario igual se volvía a poner en la delantera.
El público jugó un papel esencial porque nunca abandonamos la fe, aupamos al equipo e hicimos el trabajo de desencajar al otro equipo para descontrolarlos por algún tiempo y aprovechar de mantener la llama viva.
Como conocedora del baloncesto, 20 puntos no son nada y 2 minutos pueden ser una eternidad en este juego, así que mantuve la calma, disfruté todo el juego y al final, Marinos hizo su juego espectacular para vencer al rival y quedarnos con la victoria y la copa Sofía que se jugaba esa noche 😎.
The game was dominated by Pioneros del Ávila, and on few occasions did Marinos manage to get ahead by 3 points, but they made the mistake I mentioned earlier, and the opposing team would get back in the lead. The audience played an essential role because we never lost faith, we cheered for the team, and we did the work of unsettling the other team to disrupt them for a while and take advantage of keeping the flame alive. As a basketball connoisseur, 20 points are nothing and 2 minutes can be an eternity in this game, so I stayed calm, enjoyed the whole game, and in the end, Marinos played spectacularly to defeat the rival and claim the victory and the Sofía Cup that was on the line that night 😎.
Después del juego
El triunfo fue sudado y merecido, por lo que me vine muy contenta a casa. Esa misma noche jugaba Venezuela en el campeonato mundial, así que todos estábamos hasta deseosos de que terminara el juego para venir a casa a apoyar la selección, que esa noche ganó y la celebración fue doble.
Luego, analizando el juego, apenas llegamos a la primera semana, así que es muy pronto para pensar en estadísticas o supremacía; aún nos faltan equipos por enfrentar y seguir acoplándose con los importados y los que salen de las lesiones. NO obstante, eso no es problema, porque igual nosotros confiamos en nuestro equipo y sabemos que están ajustando todo para brindarnos una temporada de ensueño como siempre ha sido para el equipo y que nos regalen esa copa 2026 🏆.

After the game The victory was hard-earned and well-deserved, so I came home very happy. That same night, Venezuela was playing in the World Championship, so we were all eager for the game to end so we could go home to support the national team, which won that night and the celebration was double. Then, analyzing the game, we have just reache the first week, so it is very early to think about statistics or supremacy; we still have teams to face and continue getting in sync with the imported players and those coming back from injuries. HOWEVER, that is not a problem, because we still trust our team and know that they are adjusting everything to give us a dream season as it has always been for the team and to gift us that 2026 cup 🏆. WE WILL WAKE UP AND SEE...
