For Arsenal's Carabao Cup match against Leeds on Tuesday night, manager Mikel Arteta had chosen to send nine newcomers in the starting line-up in relation to the home victory over Aston Villa. The big substitution was not immediately apparent, as "The Gunners" were in control of the game, although it did not turn into the big chances in the first half.

There were generally not many chances and the first goal of the match also came in a slightly funny way. For the newly substituted Calum Chambers scored on his first ball touch and thus scored the first Arsenal goal since the 2019/20 season. The Chambers were not even starting for Arsenal, even though they had made nine changes to the starting line-up.

Leeds had four changes compared to their last game, but they did not play a good game. The bad match came after Leeds have only picked up four points in the last four Premier League matches, although the opponents have been West Ham, Watford, Southampton and Wolverhampton. In the middle of the second half, Leeds also looked dirty, as Liam Cooper did not get the ball headed away at all, and it took advantage of former Leeds player Edward Nketiah when he scored to make it 2-0.

Leeds have not won at the Emirates since 2003, and although Arsenal used a lot of reserves, they won over the goalless Leeds team.
