Inter extends Barella contract
Nicoló Barella has after switching from Cagliari to Inter developed into one of the best midfielders in Serie A. The 24-year-old Italian also played a big role during this summer's European Championship, as he was an important part of the Italian national team that ended with one could call oneself European champions.
Barella had a contract until 2024, but the parties have been working for a long time to extend this agreement further, and they have now come to terms with it. This is confirmed by Inter on their website, where they write that the agreement will run until 2026.
Nicoló Barella is in the process of his third season in the Inter jersey. So far, he has played 102 games for the club, scoring eight goals and making 27 assists. He is also listed for 33 matches on the Italian national team.
