During this summer's European Championship finals, Christian Eriksen fell over with a cardiac arrest and has subsequently had an ICD device implanted, which acts as a pacemaker. In Italy, it is not legal to play with that kind of thing and Eriksen's time in Serie A can therefore be counted if the Danish midfielder decides to want to play football again.

The Italian media Football Italia further reports that Eriksen's Italian club is considering moving on with a sale of the player to a foreign club, where Christian Eriksen will be allowed to play.

Christian Eriksen has so far played 43 matches for Inter in Serie A with four goals and two assists as a result.
