Forgotten F1 Glory - The Abandoned Formula 1 Track Valencia

avatar

Once upon a time, in the year of 2009, when the city of Valencia was ruled by a read Baron - Rita Barberá and lions were freely roaming the street. There was for one season of the Formula 1 hosted in the city. Money was spent but mostly of course money was made, at least some walked away with their pockets filled with cash.

Verdict, Formula 1 track didn't allow safe passings of cars, therefor it was known as a boring race, since the positions of racers barely changed. After the last F1 car crossed the finishing line, the track was forgotten about, nobody was held responsible and it's basically used as a dumping ground the days.

But of course, we loved this abandoned track, especially to the contrast of the sparkly City of Arts and Sciences!

This video was recorded with this camera.

Someone always has their pockets full, that is how the real world works, unfortunately. Shame, it is a big piece of land, could have been used for something better than this.

It's always like this. I think they will do a documentary on all the corruption here in Valencia - it would be so interesting see!
