Relaxed hike to Nußlberg summit in Kiefersfelden - October 13 2025

Hi Actifitters,

as mentioned yesterday me and two friends have been out for a short and relaxed hike to the summit of the Nusslberg in Kiefersfelden near the Austrian border.

Unfortunately, the Actifit app counted far too few steps again today - according to Garmin, I had 19,000.

The whole tour had a distance of 7,2 kilometers with 430 meter ascent.

On the following picture you can see Hechtsee, a lake that we visited after Nusslberg.

Here you can see the summit cross and a chapel that was unfortunately closed.

My Garmin Instinct 2X Solar shows that we climbed 357 meters to the summit.

The way down we took another way and made a small detour to visit the lake you can see above.

I like these root trails on my hikes. They are always a welcome variety.

A few cows were grazing at the foot of the mountain.

Here we crossed a small bridge over a river with crystal clear water.

Here you can see the lake again. One of my buddies went in for swimming at 14 degrees.

It was a pretty nice and relaxed tour in the nature. Looking forward to my next hike. I will share it with you.
