A small success and a small setback... my training diary entry from December 2 2025

Hi Actifitters,

yesterdays workout was successful and disappointing at the same time. While I could achieve a little progress in close grip push-ups I was able to do one less regular push-up than last time. To have at least a little progress in terms of the amount I decided to to one set on top. Let's see if this will give me the additional power to finish the current goal next time.

The following tables show where I am at in terms of regular push-ups.

My current goal:

set 1set 2set 3set 4set 5break between sets

Yesterdays achievement:

It would be really demotivating if I couldn't manage the missing two push-ups in the fifth set again next time.

And here's my training status for close-grip push-ups.

My previous goal:

My new goal:

At first glance, it looks like a real challenge, as it requires doing at least 10 more push-ups than the previous goal. However, the breaks between the sets are also a bit longer. I'm really curious to see how I'll do on my first attempt.


Today I will go for pull-ups again. Let's see how I perform today, after achieving the last two training goals on the first attempt. Since my watch has been recommending a rest day for the past two days, I will skip my cycling session today.
