Powerful workout with a nice little pull-up progress... my training diary entry from December 5 2025

(On the one hand, I love the cold season. Beautiful walks in the snow and sitting comfortably in front of the TV while it snows outside definitely have their charm. On the other hand, I also miss summer. Swimming a few laps in the lake and then firing up the grill... that's a good way to spend the time too.)

Hi Actifitters,

yesterday was a pretty cool day in terms of workout. I could do progress in pull-ups followed by progress in crunches. On top I had enough power to do some other exercises like curls, lateral raises and rows (all with dumbbells).

Since pull-ups are my top priority, I will only address those for know. As I've mentioned before, I'm currently doing pull-ups with resistance band support. Since I don't really trust my shoulder yet, that won't change in near future.

Here are my current pull-up achievements.

My previous goal:

set 1set 2set 3set 4set 5break between sets
3433max (min. 4)120 seconds

Yesterdays achievement:

set 1set 2set 3set 4set 5break between sets
34337120 seconds

My new goal:

set 1set 2set 3set 4set 5break between sets
3433max (min. 5)120 seconds

As you can see I was able to do 20 pull-ups in five sets what means two more than last time. I love to see the slow and steady progress over the last pull-up sessions. Curious to see how far I can go here.


Today is a complete day off in terms of cycling and strength training. The reason is a little hiking turn with my wife and a friend of us. Since we had some snow already I am really looking forward to it. I love to walk around in snowy landscape. On top I have the chance to make some nice photos for my next reports.
