Climb of the week with a rapid descent... my training diary entry from February 24 2026

Hi Actifitters,
unfortunately, I was so busy yesterday that I only had time for a short bike ride. However, it was quite something. It was my second "Climb of the Week" and it really made my thighs burn. Elevation gain is clearly something I still need to work on.
On the descent, I reached speeds of over 90 km/h. That's obviously far too dangerous in real life, but on a virtual track, you can certainly reach that speed on a gradient of over 20 percent.
Here are the most interesting numbers of the session:

Distance - 9.01 km
Elevetaion gain - 253 m
Average speed - 22.8 km/h
Maximum speed - 94.6 km/h
Average power output - 223 watts
Maximum power output - 650 watts
Average heart rate - 143 bpm
Maximum heart rate - 163 bpm
Average cadence - 86
Maximum cadence - 128
Today I'll be able to drive a few more kilometers. Let's see how many it ends up being.
