While football and crypto seems like a match made in heaven on the surface, the way that fan tokens have become a thing is super dodgy.
With the global attention that these huge clubs receive, they're actually detrimental to the entire crypto space.
All of the perks bullshit can be just done more efficiently in membership database.
The only difference being that the clubs haven't gouged their foreign fans who pay for the useless shit they receive.
Holders of Arsenal Fan Tokens ($AFC) will receive access to exclusive digital content from the football club such as wallpapers and videos of player interviews
I mean come on...
Anyway, I long for the day when football actually uses crypto in a meaningful way.

LMAO. Wallpaper. xD I get your point, Dane. They need to come up with better perks. Perks that actually matter and make up for the fans' investments.
Like use crypto to support or sponsor economically weaker players? I'd like to have that.
Right now it's mostly merchandise and betting which is also okay to me but yeah. Need to do more!
