Si bien soy un gran fanático del deporte motor, disfruto mucho de las carreras, pero la verdad es que el pasado fin de semana se llevó a cabo dos competencias de las categorías más importantes del automovilismo mundial, pero ambas desde mi punto de vista fue una gran decepción. El domingo 02 de Julio de 2023 se disputaron tanto el Gran Premio de Austria de F1, con una nueva victoria para el piloto de RedBull, Max Verstappen y la carrera de NASCAR en las calles de Chicago con una gran sorpresa, ya que el australiano Shane van Gisbergen, se llevó el triunfo en su debut en la categoría. Obviamente ambas competencias tienen cosas que rescatar en cuanto al entretenimiento, pero en general estas carreras fueron para el olvido. ¿Por qué? pues se los cuento a continuación. La Fórmula 1 se ha convertido en los últimos años en una categoría donde uno o dos equipos son los que dominan el campeonato o pelean por las carreras. Este año el equipo RedBull tiene un auto superlativo, incluso con dos o tres escalones más arriba que sus rivales, esto sin exagerar. Max Verstappen se llevó nuevamente una victoria en este año 2023 y va camino a llevarse su tercer campeonato, tan solo es cuestión de tiempo y que se dé matemáticamente. Max tuvo una carrera muy tranquila, nunca su victoria estuvo en peligro, el holandés está teniendo en lo que a mi opinión refiere, una temporada casi perfecta y si no fuese por los contratiempos de inicio de temporada, estuviese con más ventaja en este campeonato. Una carrera perfecto para el piloto de Países Bajos, quien le dio otra victoria a la escudería energética y que mejor que en la casa de ellos. Recordar que el circuito donde se llevó a cabo la competencia es propiedad de RedBull.

Un piloto que también hay que destacar es Sergio "Checo" Pérez, ya que el mexicano partió desde la posición número quince y aún así tuvo una excelente remontada para acabar en el podio, específicamente en el tercer lugar. Charles Leclerc termino segundo, en una carrera donde a la Ferrari se le vio una gran mejoría, pero este paso no le alcanzó para darle pelea a los RedBull, aunque por momento el monegasco lideró la competencia, pero esto tan solo luego que Max parara en los pits para cambiar sus neumáticos. Por otro lado Carlos Sainz, también de Ferrari, había terminado en la cuarta posición, donde por momentos estuvo en el podio pero perdió la posición en manos de Checo Pérez. Ahora bien, esto no fueron los resultados finales, ya que Sainz recibió una sanción varias horas despues de haber concluido el evento, esto por haber sobrepasado los limites de pista, un tema que fue controversial en todo el fin de semana. Finalmente Carlos concuyó en la sexta posición, superado por Lando Norris y Fernando Alonso.

A propisito de Alonso, la escudería Aston Martin tuvo una carrera discreta, sin mostrar tanto. Estos fueron superados por las Ferrari y el Mclaren de Norris, quienes están detrás de ellos. Lance Stroll tan solo pudo terminar en la décima posición. Esto fue tan solo un pequeño análisis de esta carrera. La misma en general me pareció aburrida, si vimos algunos adelantamientos, pero esto fue gracias a la diferencia en la edad de los neumáticos por la estrategia de cada uno. Otro factor es las constantes sanciones por el límite de pista, un tema polémico que incluso varios pilotos se vieron afectados por sanciones por este tema, luego de concluida la carrera, el equipo Aston Martin apeló los resultados y luego de estudio de los comisarios de la Federación Internacional de Automóvil (FIA) y escuchar las declaraciones de los jefes de equipo, le colocó tiempo extras a varios de los pilotos, en lo que destaca a Carlos Sainz y Esteban Ocon.

Sabemos que las reglas están puestas para ser respetadas, sí, pero cuatro o cinco horas después es que va a venir la sanción, luego de concluido el evento. ¿Porque los comisarios de la F1 no se dieron cuenta durante la carrera? ciertamente la F1 está cada vez más hundida en el bochorno, con decisiones polémicas que se han dado en los últimos años. Esto lo que hace es manchar el espíritu deportivo. El Gran Premio de Austria fue realmente aburrido, esto desde mi opinión. Buena victoria de Max Vertappen que está haciendo las cosas bien, pero se espera más lucha por las victorias de las carreras que restan, aunque esto no creo que pase, a menos de un fallo de los austriacos. Por fin de semanas consecutivos corre la F1, este domingo toca el Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña, donde veremos si las cosas se mantienen igual o al menos tenemos una carrera con batallas por las diferentes posiciones o continuamos en las carreras de los autos unos detrás del otro, sin casi adelantamientos, al menos de las posiciones principales. This year the RedBull team has a superlative car, even with two or three steps above its rivals, without exaggeration. Max Verstappen took a victory again in this year 2023 and is on his way to take his third championship, it is only a matter of time and that it happens mathematically. Max had a very calm race, his victory was never in danger, the Dutchman is having in my opinion, an almost perfect season and if it were not for the setbacks at the beginning of the season, he would be with more advantage in this championship. A perfect race for the driver from the Netherlands, who gave another victory to the energy team and what better than at their home. Remember that the circuit where the competition took place is owned by RedBull.


Another driver to highlight is Sergio "Checo" Perez, as the Mexican driver started from the fifteenth position and still had an excellent comeback to finish on the podium, specifically in third place.
