Como se los comente en la previa para este evento el fin de semana daría inicio directamente con la clasificación ya que a esta ser la segunda carrera del año no a meritaba una práctica libre, en teoría es lo que pienso de ello, más sin embargo creo que esto puede ser algo contraproducente para los pilotos, ya que cada carrera es independiente más allá que los equipos dispongan de datos de telemetría y puesta a punto de eventos pasados en la pista que se vaya a correr, pero siempre es importante que el piloto determine el comportamiento del auto, previa a la clasificación y carrera, más que todo para el evento principal (carrera). Entonces los pilotos se disponían a participar en la clasificación para determinar la parrilla de salida para la carrera, pero esta se debió suspender por las condiciones climáticas adversas, donde la el orden de salida quedo como el estado del campeonato de propietarios, que dejo la parrilla en el siguiente orden: En la pole saldría Chase Elliott #9, seguido por Ross Chastain #1, Kyle Larson #5, Tyler Reddick #8, Austin Cindric #2, Ryan Blaney #12, Daniel Suárez #99, Alex Bowman #48, Martin Truex Jr #19 y Kevin Harvick #4, para el top 10 de como iniciarían la carrera.

As I commented in the previous for this event the weekend would start directly with the qualifying since this being the second race of the year did not deserve a free practice, in theory is what I think of it, however I think this can be somewhat counterproductive for the drivers, since each race is independent beyond the fact that the teams have telemetry data and set up of past events in the track to be run, but it is always important for the driver to determine the behavior of the car, prior to qualifying and race, especially for the main event (race). Then the drivers were about to participate in qualifying to determine the starting grid for the race, but this had to be suspended due to adverse weather conditions, where the starting order was as the state of the owners championship, which left the grid in the following order: Chase Elliott #9 would start on the pole, followed by Ross Chastain #1, Kyle Larson #5, Tyler Reddick #8, Austin Cindric #2, Ryan Blaney #12, Daniel Suarez #99, Alex Bowman #48, Martin Truex Jr #19 and Kevin Harvick #4, for the top 10 as they would start the race.

Race

La carrera se inició con la bandera verde, donde se iba a disputar primer segmento a las primeras 60 vueltas. Chase Elliott y Ross Chastain formaron la primera línea, donde se dio una lucha entre estos dos por la primera posición, ya que Elliott perdió la primera plaza en la vuelta inicial en manos de Chastain, pero Chase la recuperaría rápidamente en la siguiente vuelta, pero nuevamente Ross le quito al punto que allí si la pudo mantener hasta la vuelta 21 (liderando un total de 19 vueltas en este inicio). En la vuelta 25 salió una bandera amarilla de competición, para que los pilotos y equipos pudieran entrar a los pits, para saber la degradación de los neumáticos, pudieran ajustar su auto para mejorar el rendimiento del mismo o al menos tratar y finalmente colocar combustible para completar la distancia en este primer segmento. Esta bandera amarilla y la de cerrar el segmento, fueron las únicas de la etapa, lo que nos dicen que los pilotos salieron calmadas, pero aun así hubo bastante peleas en las distintas posiciones. Finalmente Chase Elliott en el reinicio de la carrera luego de la bandera de competición logró ganar la punto de la carrera para mantener hasta el final de segmento, logrado así alzarse con esta etapa. En en segundo lugar quedo Alex Bowman, seguido por Ross Chastain, Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson y Christopher Bell en el top 10, quienes lograron los puntos extras para el campeonato regular.

The race started with the green flag, where the first segment of the first 60 laps would be disputed. Chase Elliott and Ross Chastain formed the first line, where there was a fight between these two for the first position, since Elliott lost the first place in the initial lap in the hands of Chastain, but Chase would recover it quickly in the next lap, but again Ross took the point that there if he could keep it until lap 21 (leading a total of 19 laps in this start). On lap 25 came out a yellow flag of competition, so that drivers and teams could enter the pits, to know the degradation of the tires, could adjust your car to improve the performance of the same or at least try and finally put fuel to complete the distance in this first segment. ¿En el segundo segmento hubo un total de 5 banderas de precaución por incidente que a meritaban la salida del coche de seguridad a pista. La primera fue en la vuelta 77 donde los autos BJ McLeod #78, Chris Buescher #17 y el #42 de Ty Dillon se vieron involucrados en un incidente en la recta posterior, donde se debio retirarse el auto 78 ya que su auto no podía continuar por los daños. En la vuelta 90 se da la segunda bandera de precaución causados por Chastain quien empujó a Truex Jr, causando así una reacción en cadena donde quedaron involucrado más autos como Larson #5, McDowell #34, Kyle Busch #18, Joey Logano #22, Austin Dillon #3 y Christopher Bell #20, todo esto paso en la curva dos. En la vuelta 106 salió la tercera bandera de precaución del segmento, causa por el auto 17 de Buescher que se fue contra el muro en la curva 4, donde por el accidente y el anterior, debió salir de la carrera y llevar su auto al garaje. En la vuelta 136 el piloto Chase Briscoe perdió su auto causando un trompo, lo que por seguridad obligó a sacar la cuarta bandera de precaución. Finalmente en la vuelta 158 tuve que salir el coche de seguridad a la pista y neutralizar la carrera, por otro trompo pero esta oportunidad fue Alex Bowman del auto 48 y como faltaban tan solo 2 giros para finalizar la etapa, este fue el final, dejando como ganador a Chase Elliott, seguido por Tyler Reddick, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch, Cristóbal Bell, Harrison Burton, Willian Byron, Ross Chastain y Corey LaJoie.

In the second segment there were a total of 5 caution flags for incidents that warranted the safety car to come out on track. The first was on lap 77 where the #78 BJ McLeod, #17 Chris Buescher and the #42 of Ty Dillon were involved in an incident on the back straightaway, where the 78 car had to retire as his car could not continue due to the damage. On lap 90 the second caution flag came out caused by Chastain who pushed Truex Jr, causing a chain reaction where more cars were involved such as Larson #5, McDowell #34, Kyle Busch #18, Joey Logano #22, Austin Dillon #3 and Christopher Bell #20, all of this happened in turn two. On lap 106 came out the third caution flag of the segment, caused by Buescher's car #17 that went into the wall in turn 4, where because of the accident and the previous one, he had to leave the race and take his car to the garage. On lap 136 driver Chase Briscoe lost his car causing a spin, which for safety reasons forced to bring out the fourth caution flag. Finally on lap 158 the safety car had to come out and neutralize the race due to another spin, but this time it was Alex Bowman in car 48 and as there were only 2 laps to go, this was the end, leaving Chase Elliott as the winner, followed by Tyler Reddick, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch, Cristobal Bell, Harrison Burton, William Byron, Ross Chastain and Corey LaJoie.
