El Rally Dakar 2023 está en la recta final y con la jornada del día de hoy Viernes 13 de Enero, tan solo restan dos días de actividad, donde el día domingo sabremos quien se quedará con esta importante carrera. Hasta el momento el líder de la general en autos y obviamente en toda la competición es Nasser Al Attiyah, quien le lleva una gran ventaja a los demás en la tabla general, más de una hora por lo cual se puede decir que tiene esta competición completamente ganada. Sin embargo el protagonista de los últimos días sin dudarlo dos veces ha sido el francés Sebastien Loeb, que a pesar de estar muy atrás en cuanto a tiempo, aún no se rinde, sabe que lo tiene bastante difícil, pero que a la vez nada es imposible y cuando se trata de autos, cualquier cosa se puede dar, así que no pierde las esperanza.

Dicho esto, veo poco probable que Nasser pierda esta carrera, que con más de una hora y dos etapa por disputar, prácticamente tiene la victoria en la mano pero la carrera y el recorrido se debe cumplir, tan solo un abandono del líder le puede arrebatar este gane, siendo este si lo llega a lograr, su quinto en la historia de su participación en este evento.

Volviendo a la competición de esta edición 45 de Rally Dakar, ahora procederé a comentar que han sido estas últimas dos etapas 11 y 12, donde la del día de allí fue la maratón, una etapa bastante complicada ya que el desierto de Empty Quarter es uno de los lugares más inhóspitos del mundo, con grandes peligros, donde los pilotos debían enfrentarse a las inesperadas dunas donde varios de los autos suelen quedar atrapados e incluso volcarse que ya le paso a Sebastien en una oportunidad, por lo cual se encuentra tan retrasado en el tabla general de tiempo entre todas las etapas ya recorridas. Al igual que la etapa 11, la 12 también se la victoria fue para Loeb logrando un tiempo en todo el recorrido de 1 hora 56 minutos y 21 segundos, mientras que Mattias Ekstrom volvió a tener una excelente etapa y sigue dando la cara por su equipo Audi de la cual se esperaba más, pero con el abandono de sus dos compañeros de equipos, la carrera no ha resultado como se esperaba. Ekstrom quedó a 3 minutos y 19 segundos de Loeb. Finalmente en el tercer lugar y el podio de esta etapa quedo el líder del campeonato Nasser quien a pesar de estar cuidando, no se confía y no le pierde la pisada a sus rivales más cercanos. Ekstrom y Al Attiyah quedaron separados por tan solo doce segundos, lo cual nos dice lo peleado que fue la etapa y para nada ninguno de los pilotos quitan el pie del acelerador. Cada uno de estos pilotos está dando su último esfuerzo, así que darán el todo por el todo hasta los últimos metros a recorrer en esta edición 45 del Rally Raid más importante como lo es el Dakar.

No soy tan conocedor de este mundo de los motores, pero me llamó grandemente la atención las dunas de las primeras imágenes, me hicieron recordar a los Médanos de Coro, y a reflexionar como tenemos tantas bellezas naturales en el país. Saludos, gran reseña!
Si la verdad que las dunas con bonitas, pero a la vez es muy complicada para los pilotos, muchos quedan atrapados e incluso volcán el auto, cómo sucedió en la etapa de hoy que un camión se volteó y los tripulantes tiene que acampar en el sitio ya que para regresar al campamento son más de 400 km de distancia 😬.

Saludos mi estimado amigo, la verdad que el Rally Dakar es una bonita forma de empezar el año en el mundo de las cuatro ruedas, no soy seguidor de el pero disfruto mucho esos obstáculos y esas travesías que hacen cada unos de sus competidores.
