La fecha 24 del campeonato regular de la serie de la copa NASCAR está a la vuelta de la esquina, donde faltan tan solo 3 carreras para se determinen los últimos cupos para las eliminatorias y finalmente comience la lucha por el campeonato y en el mes de Noviembre sepamos quien será el campeón. Pero en esta reseña les voy hablar un poco sobre el evento en el mítico escenario de Indianapolis Motor Speedway, siendo la carrera el domingo 13 de Agosto del presente año. Pero para mi sorpresa esta carrera será en el circuito y no en el óvalo como se llevó a cabo muchos atrás. Sé que la categoría tiene muchas carreras en óvalo y tal vez esta sea una de las razones del cambio, además que las carreras en circuito son de otro nivel, pero nada como ver correr a tu categoría favorita en una pista que tiene mucha historia en el deporte motor.

El circuito de Indianápolis Motor Speedway (Road Course como se le conoce en inglés), es un trazado que se encuentra ubicado en Indiana, Estados Unidos. El circuito usa la parte interna del óvalo, además de pocas partes del óvalo, sobre todo la recta principal. En este trazado llegó a correr hace años atrás la Fórmula 1, aunque la configuración era distinta, pero aun así que es un escenarios bastante importante dentro del automovilismo. Obviamente sabemos que en el óvalo se lleva a cabo la mítica carrera de la Indy 500 de la serie Indycar. Indianápolis (el circuito) tiene un total de 14 curvas, donde muchas de ellas son rápidas, pero algunas también son lentas.
