Bienvenidos sean todos a un post más compartido en la gran comunidad hispana de deportes, #FullDerpotes. En esta ocasión les voy a comentar mi opinión y análisis, de entra las categorías de la FIM, MotoGP y WorldSBK, quien es la mejor de acuerdo al entretenimiento de sus carreras, sus reglas y algunos aspectos técnicos, además de las diferencias que existen entre cada una. Este tema lo vengo pensado desde hace tiempo y he estado analizando la mejor manera de compartir con ustedes esta publicación, buscando los diferentes aspectos que me ayuden a responder las preguntas que podamos tener referente a este tema. Los amantes del deporte, en especial de deporte motor, en muchos cosas a veces abrimos debates entre estas dos series cual es la mejor y cual nos da un mayor entretenimiento, que siempre estemos pendiente de cuando van a ser los eventos y no nos importante incluso trasnocharnos viendo las carreras porque como muchos saben, al igual que la F1, las carreras que se disputan en Asia o Australia, se llevan a cabo en la madrugada.

Welcome everyone to one more post shared in the great Hispanic sports community, #FullDerpotes. This time I'm going to tell you my opinion and analysis, between the FIM categories, MotoGP and WorldSBK, who is the best according to the entertainment of their races, their rules and some technical aspects, as well as the differences that exist between each one. I have been thinking about this topic for some time and I have been analyzing the best way to share with you this publication, looking for the different aspects that will help me to answer the questions that we may have regarding this topic. Sports lovers, especially motorsport, in many things we sometimes open debates between these two series which one is the best and which one gives us more entertainment, that we are always aware of when the events are going to be and it is not even important for us to stay up late watching the races because as many know, like F1, the races that take place in Asia or Australia, are held in the early hours of the morning.

Primero que nada, es importante mencionar que a pesar de que ambas categorías son de carreras de motos, no son lo mismo, tiene algunas diferentes entre ellas, que la usan únicas. MotoGP es una categoría más vista que SúperBike, ya que es la primera viene siendo el deporte reina, en cuanto a Campeonatos de Motos se refiere. Ambas son campeonatos mundiales de la Federación Internacional de Motociclismo (FIM), pero MotoGP es una categoría donde las motos son exclusivamente preparadas para las carreras, son tratadas de hacer lo más rápido posible, para que alcancen altas velocidades, solo que estas son limitadas por la seguridad de los pilotos, pero se ha llegado a pensar que estas pueden alcanzar hasta 400 KM/H, lo que sería algo muy impresionante. En cambio, las motos de WorldBSK son motos que salen a la ventas para ser usadas en la calle, solo que son homologadas para el campeonato mundial, pero claro que deben cumplir ciertas reglas, pero la principal es que deben tener cierta cantidad de motos vendidas para ingresar en el campeonato, algo que desde mi punto de vista es bastante lógico.

First of all, it is important to mention that even though both categories are motorcycle racing, they are not the same, they have some differences between them, which make them unique. MotoGP is a more watched category than SuperBike, as the former is the premier sport, as far as Motorcycle Championships are concerned. Both are world championships of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), but MotoGP is a category where the bikes are exclusively prepared for racing, they are tried to make them as fast as possible, to reach high speeds, only that these are limited for the safety of the pilots, but it has been thought that these can reach up to 400 KM / h, which would be something very impressive. On the other hand, WorldBSK motorcycles are motorcycles that go on sale to be used on the street, only that they are homologated for the world championship, but of course they must comply with certain rules, but the main one is that they must have a certain amount of motorcycles sold to enter the championship, something that from my point of view is quite logical.

Técnicamente las motos de GP son un prototipo, como les mencione, motos exclusivas para las carreras mientras que Bike son motos que se venden al público, por lo cual la primera usan una mayor tecnología en la creación de las motos y los equipos usados en los eventos, por ende en MotoGP existen un mayor presupuesto. Yahama, Ducati y Honda, que son las principales marcas, tienen equipos en ambas categoría, pero sin embargo los mayores esfuerzos son para MotoGP. Estas dos categorías son las más importantes en cuanto a motociclismo se refiere, ya que los mejores pilotos del mundo piensan en correr en una de estas.

Technically GP bikes are prototype, as I mentioned, exclusive bikes for racing while Bike are bikes that are sold to the public, so the first one uses more technology in the creation of the bikes and the equipment used in the events, therefore in MotoGP there is a bigger budget. Yahama, Ducati and Honda, which are the main brands, have teams in both categories, but nevertheless the greatest efforts are for MotoGP. These two categories are the most important in motorcycling, since the best riders in the world think about racing in one of them.

MotoGP tiene una mayor fanaticada en el mundo que WorldSBK, ya que muchos ni conocen de la segunda, en cambio de la primera si e incluso hasta personas que no ven ni siquiera las carreras, pero por marketing MotoGP es mucho más vista en el mundo, es como comparar la F1 con otra categoría del mundo del automovilismo. Las competiciones se diferencian una de las otras porque en GP el fin de semana está compuesta entre las practicas libres, la clasificación que a su vez está dividida en dos parta, la Q1 donde participan aquellos pilotos que yo alcanzaran a entrar en una tabla de los 10 mejores pilotos de los entrenamientos libres (4), donde en esta Q1 quien logre los dos mejores tiempos pasan a una segunda tanda (Q2), que clasificarán finalmente de la primera a la posición número 12 de la parrilla de salida del evento, mientras que de la 13 a la última posición se determinan en la Q1. Finalmente en MotoGP la carrera principal y única se celebra los días domingos. SuperBike en cambio hay los entrenamientos (2), una clasificación para una carrera 1, mientras que el domingo se disputa una segunda carrera, donde la parrilla se determina mediante otra competición corto a menos vueltas que las otras, que se conoce como Súper Pole.

MotoGP has a bigger fan base in the world than WorldSBK, since many do not even know about the latter, while the former and even people who do not even watch the races, but by marketing MotoGP is much more seen in the world, it is like comparing F1 with another category in the world of motorsport. The competitions differ from each other because in GP the weekend is composed between free practice, qualifying which in turn is divided into two parts, the Q1 where participate those drivers who I reached to enter a table of the top 10 drivers of free practice (4), where in this Q1 whoever achieves the two best times go to a second round (Q2), which will finally qualify from the first to the 12th position on the starting grid of the event, while from the 13th to the last position are determined in Q1. Finally in MotoGP the main and only race is held on Sundays. SuperBike instead there are the training sessions (2), a qualifying for a race 1, while on Sunday there is a second race, where the grid is determined by another short competition with fewer laps than the others, which is known as Super Pole.

La categoría MotoGP visita más lugares (Países), mientras que Bike son menos los circuitos que se visitan pero en un fin de semana hay tres carreras. En cuanto a la competiciones los tradicionalistas les gusta en formato de GP pero en mi caso estoy más a favor de Bike, vemos más luchas y batallas en cada una de las carreras que se dan en el fin de semana. Ambos campeonatos tiene cosas a favor que los hacen únicos con respecto a al otro, ya la selección va a depender del público, pero como les dije MotoGP está en otra categoría, tiene mayor fanaticada, por ende en espectáculo en la pista es mayor, pero esto no quiere decir que los fans de Bike no los son, porque al contrario, son personas que conocen mucho de las motos, las atesoran, tanto así que muchos las coleccionan y pues están a su alcance ya que la pueden comprar en una tienda, lo único que debe contar son con los recursos.

The MotoGP category visits more places (countries), while the Bike category visits less circuits but in one weekend there are three races. As for the competitions the traditionalists like the GP format but in my case I am more in favor of Bike, we see more fights and battles in each of the races that occur in the weekend. Both championships have things in favor that make them unique with respect to the other, and the selection will depend on the public, but as I said MotoGP is in another category, has more fans, therefore the show on the track is greater, but this does not mean that Bike fans are not, because on the contrary, they are people who know a lot about the bikes, treasure them, so much so that many collect them and they are within reach because they can buy them in a store, the only thing you must have are the resources.

En lo personal prefiero ver MotoGP ya que crecí haciendo, me gusta más las competiciones, los pilotos, en especial Valentino Rossi, por quien solía ver las carreras, pero sin embargo esto no quiere decir que SúperBike no sea una opción, porque si lo es, ya que la categoría lo conforman buenos pilotos, los equipos son tops de las mejores marcas del mundo como Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, BMW y Ducati, que si bien no cuentan con el mismo presupuesto, tanto los equipos como la organización de la categoría, pero hacen un buen trabajo en cuanto la logísticas, las competiciones y el reglamento como se los mencione anteriormente, para que así sea diferentes a MotoGP ya que si fuesen igual en casi todos los aspectos, pues los espectadores preferirían a la categoría reina. En fin, MotoGP es mi selección del día como la mejor y la que nos da un mayor entretenimiento, pero Bike no se queda atrás y a pesar que son carreras de motos, son campeonatos mundiales, uno distinto del otro.

Personally I prefer to watch MotoGP because I grew up doing it, I like the competitions, the riders, especially Valentino Rossi, for whom I used to watch the races, but this does not mean that SuperBike is not an option, because it is, because the category is made up of good riders, the teams are tops of the best brands in the world like Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, BMW and Ducati, BMW and Ducati, which although they do not have the same budget, both the teams and the organization of the category, but they do a good job in terms of logistics, competitions and regulations as I mentioned above, so that it is different from MotoGP because if they were the same in almost all aspects, the spectators would prefer the premier class. Anyway, MotoGP is my selection of the day as the best and the one that gives us more entertainment, but Bike is not far behind and although they are motorcycle races, they are world championships, one different from the other.
