Este domingo 25 de Septiembre de 2022 en el óvalo de Texas Motor Speedway se estará llevando a cabo lo que es la primera fecha de tres de la ronda de 12 de la serie de la Copa NASCAR. A su vez esta es la carrera 30 de 36 del calendario de esta temporada 2022, que está a punto de culminar luego de un año con diferentes ganadores a lo largo de la temporada, específicamente hemos tenido 22 ganadores distinto lo cual nos dice la temporada muy competitiva que hemos tenido, siendo esta uno de las categorías que entretiene a sus espectadores. Al igual que la anterior ronda, esta carrera dará inicio a la segunda eliminación de este campeonato, donde de los 12 que avanzaron para esta ronda, 4 quedaran fuera, mientras que 8 avanzan. Los pilotos clasificados para esta etapa son Chase Elliott quien parte como el líder, Joey Logano, Ross Chastain, Kyle Larson, William Byron, Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, Chase Briscoe, Alex Bowman, Daniel Suárez y Austin Cindric. Cada uno de ellos deberá buscar la victoria para asegurar su pase para la ronda de 8 y estar cada vez más cerca de alzarse con el título.

Analizando un poco lo que puede ser esta ronda Chase Elliott es quien realmente parte como favorito y con una ventaja con respecto a los otros pilotos ya que inicia esta ronda de 12 de las eliminatorias con 3040 puntos, mientras que con 15 menos inicia Joey Lagano. Lo importante de haber sumado estos puntos es que cualquier incidente donde queden estos dos tiene un leve colchón de puntos que puede amortiguar una mala carrera, sino recuerden lo de Kyle Busch quien rompió dos motores en dos carreras de tres que conformaban la anterior ronda y por los puntos extras que comenzó tan solo quedo fuera para esta por dos puntos. Este es sólo un ejemplo, ya que sabemos que en NASCAR cualquier cosa puede suceder y más cuando vemos como se ha desarrollado esta temporada, con los novatos teniendo grandes actuaciones y con una cantidad de ganadores que en otros temporadas no había visto, al menos tomando en cuento los años que tengo viendo esta categoría que han salido al menos desde el año 2009.

Ahora bien anteriormente les mencione los clasificados para esta ronda de 12 de las eliminatorias de la Copa de NASCAR, ordenadamente de acuerdo a su posición el campeonato a los puntos que han tenido acumuladores, además recordar que el sistema de puntos se actualiza en cada ronda, sumando 1000 puntos a todos los pilotos que pasan de ronda. Los cuatros pilotos que creo que pueden quedar eliminados en esta ronda son Chase Briscoe, Alex Bowman, Daniel Suárez y Austin Cindric, todos ellos son los 4 que inician en el fondo. Ahora muchos se harán la pregunta de que si estoy tomando en cuenta ya que quedaron últimos entre las que avanzar y en parte sí, pero la verdadera razón es que estos son los pilotos más débiles por así decirlo o lo más correcto sería que estos han tenido una temporada más discretas que sus otros rivales.

El ganador de esta carrera de las estrellas fue Ryan Blaney en un final bastante polémico luego que en la última bandera de precaución dicho piloto bajará la malla pensando que la carrera había terminado, por lo cual debió abandonar la competencia pero los comisarios de NASCAR lo dejaron continuar. El ganador tanto de la pole como de la carrera del año 2021 fue Kyle Larson, así que parte como favorito para llevarse esta carrera y asegurar su instancia en la ronda de 8. Otro conductor que no está ya en la lucha por la pelea por el título pero quien tiene lo mejores números de los pilotos activos es Kyle Busch, quien posee 4 victorias, 14 tops 5 y el mejor promedio de carreras en este óvalo que finalizó dentro de los mejores 5. Esta de las razones que lo doy como favorito es por el hecho de que ya no tiene ningún tipo de presión al no estar en estas eliminatorias y se querrá despedir de la mejor manera del equipo Joe Gibbs Racing a la cual represento por muchos años.
The winner of this all-star race was Ryan Blaney in a very controversial ending after the last caution flag, when the driver lowered the mesh thinking that the race was over, so he had to abandon the competition but NASCAR stewards let him continue. La primera y segunda etapa son a 105 vueltas, mientras que la tercera y final donde conoceremos el ganador es a 124 para completar la distancia pautada de la carrera. Las paradas en los pits va a depender de los neumáticos que traigan los proveedores y su comportamiento en la pista, ya que la anterior carrera en Bristol muchos pilotos tuvieron pinchaduras de llantas por lo cual hubieron muchas paradas por las constante salidas del coche de seguridad con los problemas que enfrentaban los equipos con la degradación de los neumáticos.

En lo personal pienso que el ganador será un piloto de estos playoffs, en lo que destacan Kyle Larson quien fue el ganador del año pasado y Chase Elliott quien es el actual líder del campeonato y quien tiene una leve ventaja de puntos, pero ventaja al fin, por lo cual tendrá la oportunidad de arriesgar un poco más en comparación a sus rivales por el título de pilotos y equipos. Si no gana uno de estos pienso que Kyle Busch quiere sacarse la espina tras tener una mala ronda de 12 y como les dije anteriormente también para despedirse de su actual equipo lo más decente posible, con la cabeza en alto como todo un campeón que es.
