El piloto Frances Sébastian Loeb y nueves veces campeón del mundial de Rallies, ganó el Rally de Montecarlo en regreso a la categoría después de estar alejado y disputar otras competencias de Rally Raid. Anteriormente este piloto tubo algunas apariciones luego de su retiro de la categoría, algunos con el equipo de Hyundai pero en esta temporada se cambió al equipo M-Sport Ford WRT en el cual tan solo te previsto disputar dicho Rally que da inicio a la temporada del campeonato mundial, pero sin embargo se espera el anuncio de que dispute otras pruebas y más con el resultado obtenido, tal vez el piloto se encuentre más motivo. Además el mismo se convirtió en el piloto más longevo en ganar una competición de esta naturaleza en el WRC, con 47 años de edad. Este es un gran piloto que ha participado en diversas categorías como el campeonato en el WTCC donde logró algunas victorias en contra de los mejores pilotos de esa categoría, además de participar también en Gran Turismo, Pikes Peak, entre otras más.

En este Rally se esperaba una dura batalla entre Loeb y Sébastien Ogier, este último quien es el reciente campeón de la temporada pasada y quien en está tan solo estará disputando la mitad del campeonato, por lo cual no estará en la pelea por el título. Ogier es 8 veces campeón de la serie y con tan solo 38 años de edad, parece que está en sus últimos años de competición y al perecer va a disputar carreras pero parciales, no a tiempo completo como estábamos acostumbrados. Antes del Rally había la expectativa de una gran lucha entre estos dos pilotos, con la aparicón de los otros contendientes favoritos en el campeonato, pero en realidad esto se cumplió y la lucha fue de tan solo dos pilotos, los ya mencionados, hasta la última etapa de la competencia, por lo cual quede muy contento con lo visto y más aún con el resultado final, porque soy fanático en lo personal de Loeb, pero sin embargo estoy consciente de la grandeza y de los logrado por Ogier en los últimos años en la categoría.

El primer día de carrera fue el día jueves 20 de Enero del presente año donde se disputaron tres etapas, pero en realidad la primera es la que se conocer como Shakedown, prueba que habré el campeonato pero que en realidad no tiene ninguna repercusión en la competición y resultado final. La segundos dos que se conocen como SS1 Y SS2, fueron ganadas ambas etapas por Ogier piloto del equipo Toyota, donde los tramos fueron de 15.20 km y 23.25 km respectivamente, donde la primera etapa (SS1) era entre Lucéram y Lantosque, mientras que la SS2 entre La Bollène-Vésubie y Moulinet. Obviamente que con los resultados obtenidos Ogier se fue del primer día de la competencia como líder pero muy de cerca por Loeb quien tuve buenos resultados y manifestó las buenas sensaciones que tuve en la pista, pero por la difícil condiciones de este Rally, por la Nieve y además la humedad producido cuando está se derrite por el sol, los pilotos siempre se cuidan y tratan de elegir unos neumáticos que no le dé problemas en el camino.

El segundo día (Viernes 21) se disputaron un total de 6 etapas (SS3, SS4, SS5, SS6, SS7 y SS8), donde las cuatros primeros fueron ganados por Sébastien Loeb, mientras que la SS7 se la adjudicó Gus Greensmith y la última del día Ogier (SS8). Estos resultados dejaron a él nueves veces campeón en el primer lugar de la tabla general de tiempos por sobre Ogier quien quedo segundo y su compañero de equipo Elfyn Evans de Toyota en el tercer lugar. La SS3 fue de 18.33 km entre Roure y Beuil 1, la SS4 fue 13.49 km entre las localizaciones Guillaumes / Péone / Valberg 1, la SS5 de 17.11 km que los pilotos pasaron por Val-de-Chalvagne y Entrevaux 1, la SS6 de tramo Roure y Beuil 2 con 18.33 km recorridos. Finalmente tenemos las dos últimos dos etapas, la SS7 Y SS8 con 13.49 km y 17.11 km disputados respectivamente, entre los localidades de Guillaumes, Péone, Valberg 2, Val-de-Chalvagne y Entrevaux 2. En este día el piloto Ogier dijo que se estaba cuidando por las condiciones de los tramos, al igual que Loeb pero sin embargo este segundo arriesgo un poco más.
On the second day (Friday 21) a total of 6 stages were disputed (SS3, SS4, SS5, SS6, SS7 and SS8), where the first four were won by Sébastien Loeb, while SS7 was won by Gus Greensmith and the last of the day by Ogier (SS8). El penúltimo y cuarto día de competición fue dominado por Sébastien Ogier, donde se disputaron un total de 5 etapas (SS9, SS10, SS11, SS12 y SS13. Elfyn Evans gano la primera etapa (SS9), donde se recorrieron 16.80 km entre Le Fugeret / Thorame-Haute. La SS10 Y SS11 (Saint-Jeannet Y Malijai, Saint-Geniez Y Thoard 1) fueron para Ogier quien tomó el mando del Rally y quien lo mantuvo hasta las últimas etapas del día final, con una distancia recorrida de 17.04 km y 20.79 km en las dos etapas respectivamente. Las últimas dos que fueron la SS12 Y SS13 fueron ganadas ambos por Kalle Rovanperä del equipo Toyota, que se vio bastante bien en la competencia. En esta día se vio un dominio de Ogier de muy buenas sensaciones, con un rendimiento y poco menor por parte de Loeb y su Ford, quienes se están cuidando para no tener un percance que lo sacaron de la carrera y de los tres primeros, además de que como les mencione anteriormente, este Rally es muy difícil por las condiciones meteorológica, la nieve y la humedad que los pilotos se encuentran en el camino, lo que no permitían a los pilotos a exprimir el máximo rendimiento de los autos.

Finalmente llego el día final y donde se definiria el Rally de Montecarlo. Se disputaron 4 etapas, la SS14, SS15, SS16 Y SS17 (Power Stage) que incluso este último otorgaría puntos para el campeonato, que no están luchando los primeros dos pilotos. La SS14 fue ganada por Loeb quien recorto algo de la desventaja que llegaba en la tabla general. Este tramo era de 19.37 km que pasaban por La Penne / Collongues 1. La SS15 la gano Thierry Neuville, piloto de Hyundai. Ahora bien la SS16 fue ganada por Loeb quien venía con una desventaja en la tabla de tiempo con respecto a Ogier, pero este último tuvo una pinchadura de una de sus llantas por lo cual perdió un poco más de 30 segundo con el nueves veces campeón y también leyenda de la categoría. A la etapa Final, SS17 o Power Stage, que eran 14.26 km a recorrer entre Briançonnet y Entrevaux 2, con una ventaja de 10 segundos entre el piloto de Ford y Toyota, donde Loeb salía último a rodar y tan solo necesitaba tener precaución en el recorrido y se quedaría con el Rally, mientras que Ogier debía arriesgar y eso fue lo que hizo, pero se adelantó en la salida por lo cual fue penalizado por 10 segundo que lo dejo sin chance de ganar. Una gran victoria por parte de Sébastien Loeb, pero lo mejor fue la lucha entre los pilotos antes mencionados.

Saludos amigo @franz54 recuerdo a Sebastian Loeb por el juego Gran Turismo 5, había una competencia de Rally donde él aparecía, así como también Jeff Gordon y otros pilotos famosos del año 2010. El rally en nieve debe ser algo complicado, diferente a la tierra o piso húmedo, pocas veces llegué a manejar en nieve en dicho juego.
Loeb una leyenda del Rally y un gran piloto de carreras en general al igual que Gordon. Si debe ser super complicado, tienen llantas especiales para ello con clavos o algo así, pero la decisión es bastante difícil, se debe analizar bien las condiciones.
