La segunda fecha de la NASCAR Cup Series de la ronda de 16 de los playoffs de la serie se llevará a cabo el domingo 11 de Septiembre del presente año a las 3pm tiempo del este de los Estados Unidos en el óvalo de Kansas Speedway, evento que lleva por nombre Hollywood Casino 400. Luego de la carrera pasado donde gano Erik Jones, un piloto que no estaba dentro de los playoffs, entonces hasta el momento esta carrera es fundamental ya que aún no hay un clasificado para la siguiente ronda y todo puede pasar. Esta es la segunda vez que se visita en esta pista, la primera vez fue el 15 de Mayo cuando se visitó Kansas por primera vez, así que los pilotos van a tener más experiencia de cómo puede ser la carrera, cuál debe ser la puesta a punto del coche, entre otros detalles más que siempre deben ser tomados en cuenta.

Otros de los pilotos que se vio muy afectado en la primera fecha de la postemporada fue Kyle Busch quien reventó el motor en una bandera amarilla, luego de está teniendo una excelente carrera, fue el ganador del segundo segmento y además el que más lidero vueltas en toda la carrera, así que debe buscar la victoria en Kansas en fin de semana para asegurar su pase a la ronda de 12.

Allí es donde vemos los exitoso de este formato de eliminación donde nada esta aseguro y cada una de las carreras cuenta, donde un error o un fallo mecánico los pueden alejar de el objetivo de todos que tienen desde el comienzo del año, que es lograr el campeonato e imponerse en la mayor cantidad de carrera posible.

Desde mi punto de vista pienso que la dificultad de esta pista es considerada intermedia, pero aun así los contendientes al título que están participando en estos playoffs deben estar muy atentos a todos los acontecimientos que se pueden ir respetando. La degradación de los neumáticos en este óvalo en una oportunidad fue muy alta pero años atrás fue re asfaltada y esto mejoro mucho. Pienso que las curvas más difícil son las 1 y 2 sin desmeritar las otras, ya que tienen el mismo grado de peralte pero en la primera curva los pilotos deben tratar de tomarla lo más abierta posible para luego bajar basta la línea interior que es considerada la ideal pero aun así se puede usar la externa, todo depende de la habilidad de los pilotos y la puesta a punto que usen los equipos, lo más importante es cuidarse y no quedar atrapado en un accidente múltiple que los deje fuera de esta carrera. Lo más probable es que las banderas amarillas bajo verde sean 5, aunque esto puede variar con las banderas amarillas ya que los equipos suelen aprovechar esta condición de neutralización para llamar a sus pilotos.
From my point of view I think the difficulty of this track is considered intermediate, but even so the title contenders who are participating in these playoffs must be very attentive to all the events that can be respected. El ganador del año pasado para la segunda carrera en Kansas fue Kyle Larson del equipo Hendrick Motorsports, quien dominó la temporada y terminó adjudicándose el campeonato. Larson también se llevó la pole, así que sin lugar a dudas parte como uno de los pilotos favoritos para llevarse la victoria este fin de semana y pasar a la siguiente ronda de 12 de una vez, sin esperar la última carrera en Bristol. Como les dije esta es la segunda carrera de la temporada en Kansas, donde el ganador de la primera fue Kurt Busch quien en ese momento le dio la primera victoria a 23XI Racing, equipo del famoso Basquebolista de la NBA Michael Jordan, en sociedad con el piloto activo Denny Hamlin. Pero Kurt no podrá participar en esta carrera debido a una contusión que tuvo al tener un accidente en una de las prácticas de una carrera antes de comenzar los playoffs, lo cual lo alejó de las pista y no podrá revalidar su victoria el 11 de Septiembre.

La práctica para esta carrera será día sábado 10 de Septiembre a las 12:05pm ET, donde los pilotos tendrán aproximadamente 40 minutos para probar todas las cosas que deseen hacer ya que a las 12:50pm ET se disputa lo que es la clasificación para determinar las líneas para la salida de esta carrera. Es importante mencionar que el formato para la clasificación se mantiene que es de dos rondas, donde la primera está divida en dos partes donde participan la mitad de los inscritos en cada una de ellas, a una vuelta rápida sin ningún otro piloto en la pista, en la cual los mejores 5 de cada uno avanzan a la ronda final con los mejores 10 pilotos que pelearan por la pole a una sola vuelta, donde los pilotos no pueden cometer ningún error que los aleje de las mejores posiciones, aunque esto no es tan relevante en NASCAR. La carrera es a 267 para completar las 400 millas, donde se dividen en tres segmentos como estamos acostumbrados, siendo el primero a 80, el segundo a 85 y el tercero y final a las últimos 102 para completar la distancia pautada. Destacar que cada uno de los segmentos da puntos, así que todos los quieren ganar.
