El pasado 31 de Diciembre y hasta el momento se está llevando a cabo lo que es la edición 45 del Rally Dakar, uno de los principales eventos con la cual iniciamos cada año las competiciones del deporte motos y cada semanas en esta comunidad trato de compartir los incidencias más importantes entorno a este evento. Lo cierto de todo es que esta competición está prácticamente definida, al menos en la categoría de autos ya que el piloto de Toyota Nasser Al Attiyah lleva una ventaja de más de una hora con respecto a sus más cercano perseguidores. Pero la noticia de este día va por otro lado, más allá que les hablaré de cómo va la competición hasta el momento pero en la etapa 9 ha ocurrido un trágico incidente donde perdió la vida un fanático en manos del piloto checo Ales Loprais de la categoría camiones y que hasta el momento marchaba como líder.

Lo cierto de todo es que esto es una triste noticia que empaña una etapa que pintaba para ser grandiosa en las categoría donde aún hay peleas para la punto de la tabla general de tiempos de este Rally Dakar, pero un ser humano perdió la vida. ¿Cómo ocurrió este hecho? pues este aficionado italiano de 69 años de edad se encontraba en un punto ciego, detrás de una duna donde el mismo piloto informó luego de la llegada y al enterarse de lo ocurrido que él ni la tripulación vio a la persona. La realidad es que esta persona fue bastante imprudente al posicionarse en un sitio por la cual era la trayectoria de cada una de las categorías, y más tomando en cuenta que estos autos alcanzan velocidades altas que no les da tiempo de reacción, claro que no como otra serie donde los autos son muchos más rápidos, pero si están en una alta competición donde dan el todo por el todo. Una triste noticia que esto haya ocurrido.

Ales Loprais marchaba como líder de la categoría de camiones en esta edición del Rally Dakar como ya se los había mencionado, pero luego de este triste suceso el piloto decidió retirarse de la carrera, porque más allá de la competición, este hecho lo ha marcado para toda su vida, dicho por sus propias palabras, aunque desde mi punto de vista no tuvo la culpa y más viendo los vídeos, donde efectivamente esta persona se encontraba dentro de la trazado y en un sitio que no era oportuno. ¿Debería la FIA y los organizadores de este evento tomar medidas? Desde que he visto el Rally Dakar me he fijado en esto de los fanáticos que se encuentran en cualquier sitio, sin ninguna protección o una limitación en la zona por la cual transitan los vehículos. Pienso que sería imposible controlar esto ya que como sabemos las carreras se llevan a cabo en sitios como desiertos u otros lugares que no son transitados, así que son pocas las personas que van a estos lugares, así lo que deberían hacer esas pasar propagandas o concientizar a las personas a que se mantengan en una zona alejada de la trazada por donde transitan los pilotos. De todas maneras estos organismos no tengo dudas que al menos pensarán en alguna solución. Lo que si es que ya esta vida se perdió y es una verdadera lástima, y más en la forma que paso, ya que esto se puedo evitar, por lo menos por el lado del fanático.

I think it would be impossible to control this because as we know the races are held in places like deserts or other places that are not transited, so few people go to these places, so what they should do is to pass advertisements or raise awareness to people to stay in an area away from the line where the pilots travel. Anyway, I have no doubt that these organizations will at least think of a solution. What is true is that this life was lost and it is a real pity, and even more so in the way it happened, since this could have been avoided, at least on the side of the fan.

Mi última publicación les comente lo ocurrido hasta la etapa 7 y hasta el momento se han llevado a cabo 10 etapas. La etapa 8 en autos fue ganada por el piloto francés Sebastien Loeb en un poco más de 3 horas y 35 minutos como tiempo de llegada, mientras que en el segundo lugar quedo Nasser Al Attiyah en la tercera posición Carlos Sainz. Nasser está teniendo un Rally Dakar bastante inteligente y aprovechando la ventaja que posee con respecto a sus rivales, por lo cual puede jugar con ella para así obtener de esta manera su quinto Dakar y su segundo de manera consecutiva.

Por otro lado mencionar que el español Carlos Sainz debió abandonar la carrera tras volcar su auto en esta día 9 de competencia, aunque en un principio trato de regresar a la carrera, luego de haberse subido en el helicóptero, pero el equipo Audi en el final del día confirmó la noticia.

La etapa 11 se correrá mañana jueves 12 de Enero de 2023, que saldrán desde Shaybah que fue donde llegaron en la etapa desde este día, hasta el campamento maratón del Empty Quarter en un recorrido de 273 kilómetros contra el reloj.
