My Actifit Report Card: July 29 2022

I know it's not always possible or practical to have company-sponsored gyms or fitness rooms in your building, but you can still find ways to manage your exercise during the day.

It’s a fact that 82% of Americans are obese and one in five adults don't even meet the minimum standards for healthy levels of daily activity. In fact, health issues such as weight-related illnesses, high cholesterol, heart disease, and type II diabetes threaten to bankrupt over 100 million people each year.

Exercise is not only great for your blood cells and cardiovascular system but also a way of preventing chronic diseases from forming so you can lead a healthier lifestyle.

You may not be getting as much as you need if you only perform simple stretches sitting down at a desk for 8 hours a day. When you need a break from sitting, you should get up and walk around for about a minute before returning to your desk. If you do this at least twice an hour, it will help your muscles recover and make them more flexible.
