Lille - PSG

Due to the fact that I did resign from work I had some extra days off. So going with the family to Lille - PSG combined with a few days Lille was an excellent idea.

For the kids it was a chance to see Messi, Neymar and Mbappe with some other stars life in action.
Although we did reserve a parking ticket we decided to go with the subway. Had some doubts for after the game but more about that later.

Apparently the block we were seated was a mix of Lille and PSG fans. This is the way I like it.
We didn’t had to wait long for the first fireworks because Mbappe scored after only 8 seconds. The final result was 1 - 7. Which wasn’t a score which I did expect at all.
Bu the kids did see three goal of Messi, 2 of Neymar and one of Messi.

PSG was just superb but also one of the most arrogant teams I ever did see live.
When they did loose the ball at least 4 players weren’t defending at all. There are just walking back into position. Some turtles are faster then they did find their positions again. But for some reason when Lille did have a corner kick all 11 PSG players were within the own penalty box. Strange.

While arrogant I have to admit the when they do have the ball some magical things do happen. They always did find a solution and were like a warm knife cutting through butter. For sure Mbappe was exceptional! His pace and ball control at that pace is amazing.

The stadion itself also is a great place to see some football.
And the way back was much better than I did expect. It was a 15 minute walk to the Metro station. Once arrived there were 2 lines waiting. The police only did let around 50 to 100 people at once in the Metro station. So it wasn’t too crowded which is important when doing this with a 10 year old. Also the same probably was done at the other metro stations so while it was busy in the subway, it wasn’t for sure over crowded!

So now we will see what the next game will be. The youngest one does prefer Tottenham, the oldest son Arsenal and I maybe Real Madrid or City. Time will tell and most likely it will be Sevilla again 😁

Cheers,
Peter

PSG front three was excellent in this game. They did everything they can do. But the first goal was exceptional 😀
