The Leopoldo Tosta National School in Villa de Cura is located on the outskirts of the city, on the road leading to San Juan de los Morros, Guárico State. Guárico was the setting last week for what was called a School Chess Simultaneous Match as part of the vacation plans promoted by the Institute for Recreation and Sports in Zamora (IMDERZA) for young people between the ages of 7 and 12.

The event took place on the school's sports field, where tables and boards were set up early in the morning by the sports department's teaching staff and IMDERZA chess instructors.

Sin duda el órgano más importante en el funcionamiento cognitivo del ser humano debe ser constantemente estimulado y que mejor que el Ajedrez para lograr tal fin, jugar el ajedrez desde temprana edad no sólo te mejora las habilidades cognitivas sino que te ayuda a afianzar valores como la confianza en si mismo, la serenidad, la paciencia, la cautela y muchas más a la hor de afrontar situaciones donde haya que tomar decisiones.

Without a doubt, the most important organ in human cognitive functioning must be constantly stimulated, and what better way to achieve this than through chess? Playing chess from an early age not only improves your cognitive skills but also helps you to strengthen values such as self-confidence, serenity, patience, caution, and many more when facing situations where decisions must be made.

IMDERZA promoviendo y apoyando al deporte Escolar

IMDERZA y su equipo de profesores en la disciplina y su equipo de logística estuvo desde tempranas horas acondicionando los espacios de la cancha para que los estudiantes fueran tomando sus respectivos puestos y a la vez preparándose para recibir las instrucciones del juego del cual ya la mayoría tenía referencias.

IMDERZA con su experiencia en estos eventos escolares, colaboró con toda la logística necesaria para que estos jóvenes estudiantes vivieran un momento inolvidable.

IMDERZA and its team of teachers in the discipline and its logistics team were up early preparing the court so that the students could take their respective positions and at the same time prepare to receive instructions for the game, which most of them were already familiar with.

IMDERZA, with its experience in these school events, collaborated with all the necessary logistics so that these young students could enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Opinión:

Sin duda que este tipo de eventos deportivos hay que aplaudirlos, es de alguna manera rescatar a la juventud de nuestra sociedad, el ajedrez es un juego accesible a todos las clases sociales y no necesita de grandes escenarios e implementos para su práctica lo que lo hace muy adecuado y pertinente durante esta etapa de vacaciones que ahora está atravesando nuestro calendario escolar. Opinion:

No doubt that this type of sporting events should be applauded, it is very sad to reach retirement and be forgotten with the passage of time, these events somehow vindicate the local sporting memory by honoring each year with these meetings those who gave the best of their talent to represent us inside and outside the city.
