Hello Hive! In the Genshin Impact world, we once again experienced a lovely Lantern Rite. I always look forward to its art, minigames, and lore contained in the main story. This year's event was no disappointment at all; it brought all these elements together in the most extraordinary form. So, here I share some of the beauty of Liyue's rite.

¡Hola, Hive! En el mundo de Genshin Impact, volvimos a disfrutar de un encantador Rito de la Linterna. Siempre espero con ansias su arte, sus minijuegos y la historia que contiene la historia principal. El evento de este año no me decepcionó en absoluto; reunió todos estos elementos de una forma extraordinaria. Así que aquí les comparto algo de la belleza del rito de Liyue.

As you may know, Lantern Rite is a festival held in the Liyue region to resemble the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration. People of Liyue light up the sky with Xiao Lanterns containing their wishes. They also built a main and extraordinarily big lantern that contains the theme of this year. The horse is the figure representing this, as it is also the Year of the Horse, which began this past February on the Chinese calendar.

Como ya sabrán, el Rito de la Linterna es un festival que se celebra en la región de Liyue para recordar la celebración del Año Nuevo Lunar chino. Los habitantes de Liyue iluminan el cielo con linternas Xiao que contienen sus deseos. También construyeron una linterna principal, de un tamaño extraordinario, que representa el tema de este año. El caballo es la figura que lo representa, ya que también es el Año del Caballo, que comenzó el pasado febrero en el calendario chino.

As for the event content, we had a couple of nice additions. There was a special kind of lantern that would allow you to send a wish to a fellow friend in-game, and this lantern would appear wherever you placed it on Liyue, but in the game. It was a nice touch; I received a couple of messages from my friends and family who also play Genshin. Minigames were fun too, being my favorite, with a devour-like dynamic that utilized the goddess of the moon to defeat evil toads trying to overshadow it.

En cuanto al contenido del evento, tuvimos un par de novedades interesantes. Había un tipo especial de linterna que permitía enviar un deseo a un amigo dentro del juego, y esta linterna aparecía dondequiera que la colocaras en Liyue, pero dentro del juego. Fue un buen detalle; recibí un par de mensajes de amigos y familiares que también juegan a Genshin. Los minijuegos también fueron divertidos, siendo mis favoritos, con una dinámica similar a la de devorar que utilizaba a la diosa de la luna para derrotar a los sapos malvados que intentaban eclipsarla.

The Main lantern theme was the horse in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Genshin took this opportunity to create a new character called Zibai, a former archon of Liyue's ancestors. All Lantern Rites ' missions are about her. We discover who Zibai was in the long-forgotten nation of Lang Gan. Zibai was her Angel/Archon/Goddess who helped them prosper. Sadly, that nation was corrupted by the Abyss and destroyed by the Heavenly Principles. Zibai managed to save some of its inhabitants who later became the people of Liyue.

As for the Year of the Horse, I have to say it has been quite energetic in all gacha games I play. Rewards have been especially abundant and celebration so energetic. The horse represents exactly that: energy, abundance, change, and action. Chinese people expect breakthroughs and success in their lives this year.

El tema principal de la linterna era el caballo para celebrar el Año Nuevo Chino. Genshin aprovechó esta oportunidad para crear un nuevo personaje llamado Zibai, una antigua arconte de los ancestros de Liyue. Todas las misiones de los Ritos de la Linterna giran en torno a ella. Descubrimos quién era Zibai en la nación olvidada de Lang Gan. Zibai era su Ángel/Arconte/Diosa, quien los ayudó a prosperar. Lamentablemente, esa nación fue corrompida por el Abismo y destruida por los Principios Celestiales. Zibai logró salvar a algunos de sus habitantes, quienes posteriormente se convirtieron en el pueblo de Liyue.

Lantern Rite ends with the successful resurrection of Zibai. This was achieved thanks to Rex Lapiz and the return of the true Frost Moon to Teyvat in the Nod-Krai arc. Now, Zibai is an extraordinary character, with a beautiful, tragic lore. She is a main DPS dealer specialized in the Lunar Crystalize reaction. I obtained her and will dedicate a post to her, but as of now, I can say the Lantern Rite did an excellent job presenting this new character and making us connect with her. Chinese culture is rich and vast, so I always enjoy its reflection on all forms of art, including video games. I hope this year of the horse brings all those good wishes of action, change, and breakthroughs for everyone, happy lantern rite!

El Rito de la Linterna termina con la exitosa resurrección de Zibai. Esto se logró gracias a Rex Lapiz y al regreso de la verdadera Luna Escarchada a Teyvat en el arco de Nod-Krai. Zibai es un personaje extraordinario, con una historia hermosa y trágica. Es una de las principales DPS especializada en la reacción Cristalización Lunar. La obtuve y le dedicaré una publicación, pero por ahora, puedo decir que el Rito de la Linterna hizo un excelente trabajo presentando a este nuevo personaje y haciéndonos conectar con ella.
