Minnesota vs. Iowa - Game Recap - November 16, 2019 - ESPN

The Minnesota Golden Gophers were having a dream season.  Never considered a national powerhouse in football, the team was ranked 9th in the college playoff rankings.

Last week, they hosted Penn State who was ranked 4th.  Minnesota pulled off a strong win beating PSU by a touchdown.

This week they headed to Iowa to take on the 20th ranked Hawkeyes.  What a difference a week makes.  The Gophers went down after falling behind 20-3.  

The loss drops them out of playoff contention.  They still have the inside track for the Big Ten championship game for the Western Division.
