My Actifit Report Card: January 20 2024 (EN/FR)

This Saturday, I departed from my usual routine by getting up at 7 a.m., whereas I usually sleep in until 9 a.m. on weekends.

Accompanied by a few members of my family, we set off for two hours in the direction of the Route des Étalons, a two-day event during which many stud farms open their gates to the public. It was the perfect opportunity to see up close these famous stallions that my aunt, a horse enthusiast (she has 7!), talks about so often.

The event also offered the chance to ask questions of the breeders, which proved very instructive. Particularly for those wishing to crossbreed their own horses with the stallions on show.

Admittedly, the cold was biting, to the point of leaving a few light burns on my arms, but the experience was well worth the minor inconvenience. It was the perfect opportunity to clear my head and get away from it all, especially on a weekend when I had nothing else planned. Besides, seeing my aunt so happy was priceless!

Ce samedi, j'ai dérogé à mon habitude en me levant à 7h, alors que d'ordinaire, je profite d'une grasse matinée jusqu'à 9h les week-ends.

En compagnie de quelques membres de ma famille, nous avons pris la route pour deux heures direction la Route des Étalons, un événement de deux jours durant lequel de nombreux haras ouvrent leurs portes au public. C'était l'occasion idéale pour voir de près ces fameux étalons dont ma tante, passionnée de chevaux (elle en a 7 !), nous parle si souvent.

L'événement offrait aussi la chance de poser des questions aux éleveurs, ce qui s'est révélé très instructif. Notamment pour les personnes qui veulent faire des croisements avec leurs propres chevaux et les étalons présentés.

Certes, le froid était mordant, au point de me laisser quelques légères brûlures sur les bras, mais l'expérience valait bien ce petit désagrément. C'était l'opportunité parfaite de s'aérer l'esprit et de s'échapper un peu de la routine, surtout pour un week-end où je n'avais rien d'autre de prévu. Et puis, voir ma tante si heureuse, ça n'avait pas de prix !
