My Actifit Report Card: May 1 2025

Second run of the week to get back into running with @altheana. For now, the training remains the same:

  • 1 minute of running
  • 2 minutes of walking
  • Repeat 8 times

This time, it was much easier than earlier this week. But progress never comes as quickly as we’d like, it’s always like that. I remember that, when I got back into sports after a long break a few years ago, the first session was tough, the next two felt easy… and then the following ones became harder than the first.

So it’s during the upcoming sessions that I’ll need to find motivation to keep going and the courage to go out running.

Yesterday at lunch, I ate with my parents. They told me it takes at least six months to build the habit, to the point that you feel something’s missing when you skip a session. And that this good habit is much easier to lose than to rebuild.

Performance-wise: my peak heart rate during this run was 132 BPM, slightly lower than last time. It’s still too early to spot a clear trend.

Deuxième sortie de la semaine pour reprendre la course à pied avec @altheana. Pour l’instant, l’entraînement reste le même :

  • 1 minute de course
  • 2 minutes de marche
  • À répéter 8 fois

Cette fois-ci, c’était bien plus facile que le début de semaine. Mais les progrès ne se font jamais aussi vite qu’on le voudrait, c’est toujours comme ça. Je me souviens que, lorsque je reprenais le sport après une longue pause il y a quelques années, la première séance était dure, les deux suivantes semblaient faciles… puis les suivantes redevenaient plus difficiles que la toute première.

C’est donc dans les prochaines séances qu’il faudra puiser la motivation pour continuer et trouver le courage d’aller courir.

Hier midi, j’ai déjeuné avec mes parents. Ils m’ont dit qu’il faut au moins six mois pour ancrer l’habitude, au point de ressentir un manque quand on saute une séance. Et que cette bonne habitude est bien plus facile à perdre qu’à construire.

Côté performance : mon pic de fréquence cardiaque pendant cette sortie était de 132 BPM, un peu moins que la dernière fois. Il est encore trop tôt pour en tirer une tendance claire.
