My Actifit Report Card: May 13 2025

Here we are at last: step 2 of our return to sport.
This time, we’re stepping it up a notch: no more 8x1 minute runs with 2 minutes of rest. Now, it’s 8x2 minutes of running for 2 minutes of recovery.

We left @altheana’s parents’ place quite early in the morning to head back home.

And once home, we went all in on our freelance projects. On top of that, it’s been pretty tense lately: between new clients and missions that drag on more than expected, we’re struggling to manage. We’re questioning everything, all the time, and it’s a lot of stress.

As a result, it was already 6:30 p.m. when we finally decided to go for a run. The day slipped through our fingers. But at that point, I was more than motivated because I knew it would do us a world of good.

We went back to our usual little spot to run, on foot. It’s not very far, we have to walk about 1 km and it was just to catch the last rays of sunshine and especially clear our heads.

We start the timer, and off we go for a 30-minute session.

@altheana thought she’d struggle to hold on for 2 minutes each round… but she did really well! She just started stopping 10 seconds after halfway through the sets, then immediately got going again.

On my side, it wasn’t easy either. But I was so tense from the day that I turned it into fuel. I threw all my frustration into the run.

What’s really cool is seeing our progress. Just two weeks ago, running 2 minutes in a row was impossible. So doing it 8 times, even less so.

The idea now is to keep this pace for two weeks (so 6 sessions), so it becomes smoother. Then, we’ll move on to level 3.
