My Actifit Report Card: June 30 2025

Hello Hive, hello the active ones!

We are going through a heatwave period with days at 35–40°C and nights where the temperature barely drops. Fortunately, in the countryside, the freshness is more present than in the city. As a result, we can finally breathe once night falls.

To avoid running under crushing heat, we went out yesterday morning with @altheana. It was already quite hot, but still bearable. Especially since our route runs along the greenway behind our house, in the shade of the forest.

If we had to run on the road in full sun, the experience would have been very different!

It’s our last week with the following program:

  • 3 minutes of running
  • 2 minutes of pause
  • 5 cycles in total

Next week, we will increase the running duration by one minute. So we’re entering a new adaptation phase. We also need to include free sessions in our program during which we can run as much as we want, without a timer.

It’s now been more than three sessions that I’ve been using my timer app: Repetix Interval Timer, available on the Google Play Store. It allows me to easily configure our interval sessions. It’s also ideal for meditation, focused work, yoga, box breathing, etc.

Nous traversons une période caniculaire avec des journées à 35–40°C et des nuits où la température peine à redescendre. Heureusement, à la campagne, la fraîcheur reste plus présente qu’en ville. Résultat, on peut enfin respirer une fois la nuit tombée.

Pour éviter de courir sous une chaleur écrasante, nous sommes sortis hier matin avec @altheana. Il faisait déjà bien chaud, mais c’était encore supportable. Surtout que notre parcours longe la voie verte derrière chez nous, à l’ombre de la forêt.

S’il avait fallu courir sur la route en plein soleil, l’expérience aurait été tout autre !

C’est notre dernière semaine avec le programme suivant :

  • 3 minutes de course

  • 2 minutes de pause

  • 5 cycles au total

La semaine prochaine, on augmentera la durée de course d’une minute. On entre donc dans une nouvelle phase d’adaptation. Il faut aussi qu'on intègre des séances libres dans notre programme dans lesquelles on pourra courir autant qu'on le souhaite, sans timer.

Cela fait maintenant plus de trois séances que j’utilise mon application de timer : Repetix Interval Timer, disponible sur le Google Play Store. Elle me permet de configurer facilement nos séances d’intervalles. Elle est aussi idéale pour la méditation, le travail en focus, le yoga, la respiration carrée, etc.
