Good or bad deals for Arsenal?

Arsenal as a football club hasn't been silent in the ongoing transfer window, the club has been doing good with their youngsters so far and I believe adding a few qualities to the team should help them achieve better in the coming season.

The club tried so hard to finish in the top four last season but Tottenham cut their Uefa Champions League dreams short after defeating Arteta's boy at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in their second leg fixtures, it ended 3 - 0 and Arsenal had to settle with the Europa League for the coming season.

In preparation for the next season, Arsenal has signed a few players but the most recent one has got pundits talking about the possibility of the North London side doing extraordinarily in the coming season. Fabio Vieira was their first major signing, the ex Porto midfielder moved to London recently for a new challenge in the English Premier League.

A lot of people aren't talking about the new man in Arsenal, there aren't many expectations even from the fans on him but the club must have seen some potential in Vieira before going for him. The Portuguese midfielder is one of the promising youngsters in the Primeira Liga, he has been a huge boost to Porto's success in the previous season. The 22 years old had his best season in 2021/22, he was able to score 6 goals and 14 assists in 27 matches which also makes the season the first time he featured for the club in over twenty matches.

He might not be a famous player but I think he is a star in the making and taking up a job at Arsenal can take him to the next in his career, it is too early to predict what impact he will have on the team right now but I expect him to grow in the long run.

Landing Gabriel Jesus in London from Manchester City is a big deal for Arsenal and I can tell how much hopes it has added to the team's success going into the next season, I believe his presence should help them have a healthy competition for the top four race.

Arsenal has been struggling with the striker's position since the departure of Patrick Aubameyang, Lacazette did his best but didn't live up to the expectations of the club. The French man was only able to find the net 6 times in 35 appearances in all competition for Arsenal last season, thanks to the likes of Smith Rowe, Busayo Saka, and others who took up the responsibility to score goals.

The youngsters did really great and they could have done very much better if they had a striker whose impact was felt on the team, the presence of Jesus could solve their problem but we can't be too sure about that yet.

Gabriel Jesus time at Manchester City wasn't completely outstandingg even though he has numerous titles to his name, the Brazilian forward has only found the net more than 10 times in two seasons out of the six he spent at Manchester City, and the remaining four seasons ended with less than 10 goals per season. I have read stories about not getting enough playing but I don't understand why that's a serious issue because aside from his first season with Manchester City, he has played in not less than 28 games per season in the English Premier League.

His biggest success is from the Uefa Champions League, he always turned up for Manchester City at the right time. He bagged 20 goals for City in 38 UCL appearances which is quite remarkable for me, I am not expecting anything lesser from Gabriel Jesus considering Manchester City's firepower.

If Gabriel Jesus is an average player at Manchester City, I wouldn't expect too much from him at Arsenal. City has a quality squad than Arsenal and Gabriel Jesus might not be enjoying the dominance available to him at Manchester City, I am not condemning Arsenal but statistics can tell the difference between the two clubs. He is going to have a good impact on the club playing alongside Saka, Smith Rowe, and others but it would be too early to tell how successful he will be with Arsenal.

He could turn up to be the next Van Persie or Thierry Henry but only time would tell and I am certain that his experience will be very valuable for the club as long as injuries don't affect his time with the North London side.

I expect a lot of improvement from the club this season, it is time the club starts thinking bigger than just finishing in the top four. I don't expect any miracle this season but they can take charge in the Europa League if they work hard towards it. We saw Frankfurt win it in the previous season, and Villarreal did the job in the season before, these teams aren't bigger than Arsenal and I think they need to drill themselves more to be productive in terms of winning titles.

Nothing is guaranteed but I hope Gabriel helps the team solve their striker's issue, it is a new atmosphere and challenge for him and I hope he can mark his name with gold in the heart of the fans,he just needs to give his best.
