It was a majestic ride for Real Madrid to their 35th league title and there are times I wonder if any club can be greater than Real Madrid, they keep bagging titles and that makes them the most successful team in the world. Winning the 2021/2022 Spanish La Liga title makes the club silverware 94 in total; the club keeps proving to be the best season after season. They dethroned their city rivals who were the Champions in the previous season, Atletico Madrid aren’t having a bad season either, they sit in the fourth position behind Sevilla and Barcelona.

Real Madrid started the season great and they went on to the end with the same form which paid off for the team, they didn’t have much of a challenge this season as their arch league rival Barcelona weren’t in good shape to challenge them for the title. They currently sit second and would do anything to remain there which seems to be a fair result judging by the club form before the arrival of the new manager who happens to be one of the club's best as a player.

Real Madrid were declared the winner of the league after defeating Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, it was amazing to see the league Champions go ruthless on their opponent despite having a Champions League encounter in the coming week. It ended 4 - 0, I wasn’t expecting that since the club manager rested most of the players who featured in the Uefa Champions League match against Manchester City, Rodrygo scored twice to win the first half for Real Madrid, Asensio got the third and Kareem Benzema came in as a substitute to seal the victory.

Unlike other leagues still having their winner undecided after 34 games, Madrid did the job already with 81 points. They have won 25 out of their 34 matches played so far which means that they have 7 matches win difference from the two teams behind that have only won 18, they drew 6 and lost 3 times in the league campaign. They are as well the highest-scoring team in the league with 73 goals, they conceded 29 goals so far this season second to Sevilla which has conceded 28 goals this season.

The success wouldn’t just inspire the team ahead of the Champions League; it would also give them the breathing space to focus more on the competition ahead. Real Madrid would go head to head against Manchester City in Spain in the coming week, it would be their second leg of the UCL semifinals and if things go their way, they might end up bagging their second title of the season if they win the finals.

The club's current manager, Carlo Ancelotti has become the first manager to win titles in all five major European leagues, he is a legend and deserves to be celebrated for helping the club since Zidane's exit.

Congratulations to Real Madrid and their fans across the world.

This was never in doubt ever since Barcelona fell off the wagon. La Liga has been sealed. Let's see what they would do against City for the second leg.
